Is John McCain’s campaign commercial a message to the president?

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

I recently saw John McCains recent campaign commercial. In the commercial he said “only a fool talks tough concerning war.”

The Question is when George Bush told Sadam to “Bring it On”, was he a fool according to John McCain.?

If so he and I finally found something in which we agree.

Bush has even said he regrets the tone of that comment.

Naturally McCain is trying to combat the charge that his administration would be ‘a third Bush term’.

McCain’s best chance is to say as little as possible and let Obama keep beating himself.

McCain is continuing his shameless pandering to weak minded liberals.

< Bush has even said he regrets the tone of that comment.

But, Bush, nor have many Republicans stated that the war was wrong from the beginning. They are all still foolish until they can truly see that, including John McCain.

The problem is that John McCain like so many other Republicans are too foolish themselves to see that the war was wrong and never should have been in the first place. Until he and other Republicans can admit that fact, they are too untrustworthy in common sense and morals to lead this country.

>>>”The problem is that John McCain like so many other Republicans are too foolish themselves to see that the war was wrong and never should have been in the first place.”<<<

Sure shouldn’t have.

If only Jimmy Carter had backed the Shah of Iran so many years ago, none of this would have been necessary.

According to the neo-con logic, you see, Jimmy Carter failed to prop the Shah back into power when the revolution came. By so doing, he aided and abetted the takeover of Iran by the Islamofacists, which has led directly to the situation we have today. This situation will only be corrected by us invading Iran, throwing the Ayatollahs out and reinstalling a ruler who will do it our way.

Throw into the mix the apocalyptic visions of some on the Christian Right (Hagee for one) who want to take action to force armageddon and bring about the full restoration of Israel and the second coming of Christ.

Make sense?

In this light, then, preemptive war is a good thing, particularly in the Middle East. Particularly if those who are beating the war drums the loudest know nothing of war but what they’ve read in Tom Clancy novels or the Left Behind books.

“Only a fool or a fraud talks tough or romantically about war.” — John McCain (campaign commercial)

“Bring ‘em on.” — George W. Bush, July 2003

“It must be exciting for you … in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You’re really making history, and thanks” — George W. Bush, March 2008

Hmmm. Only a fool or a fraud?

McCain is a Bush clone!

More war in Iraq, even Iran!

More tax breaks for the rich and the poor oil companies!

No GI Bill for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans!

No employer provided healthcare, except if you pay for it!

No torture, except by the CIA!

“The Constitution is just a goddam piece of paper!”

Maybe to you Slick Johnny Mc, George W. Bush clone! To real Americans, the US Constitution is the fundemental organic law of our great nation, and how we treat it shows the world our basic values. Under Bush and Slick Johnny Mc, the US Consitution has beren used as though toilet paper.

Vote Democratic in ‘08! The life you save may be your own!
