Skip the hype, please, on Iran and consider the reality
I sincerely hope that the media, government officials and the public in general will take a long pause before taking all the latest Iran hype too seriously. One would think that caution would be the order of the day given most recent moral and financial boondoggle of Iraq. Were a general sense of caution (and a well deserved skepticism of government pronouncements) not enough I would implore people to consider a few simple facts about the current state of affairs.
First, Iran has not threatened anyone. The most strident thing they have said is that if attacked, they would respond. Given the United States newly minted right to preemptively strike any nation it desires, in comparison Iran’s position is restrained to say the least.
Second, even Iran’s long-time enemy and neighbor (and quasi-puppet regime of the United States) Iraq has stated they want no part of a strike against Iran and would not participate.
Third, how can Iran’s weapons be considered provocative when another middle eastern country, Israel, has nuclear weapons and has stated an openness to a preemptive strike on Iran.
Fourth, how can we rail at Iran’s meddling in middle eastern affairs (Iraq’s for example) when the United States brought armed forces half way around the world to complete a regime change (of its desire) on Iran’s neighbor. Who is really the intruder in this setting? In addition, informed sources admit that the United States has been covertly involved in operations inside Iran for some time.
Fifth, how can we complain of Iran’s repressive regime when the United States has spent the past five years arresting and imprisoning at will, with no formal charges, thousands of citizens of Iraq who disagree with our presence and/or oppose the regime we installed. What kind of democracy is that?
None of the above even begin to touch on the moral and financial arguments against any military strike on Iran. I can only hope the media especially will not repeat its much regretted rubber stamp of the Iraq invasion. I implore the media to skip the hype, look at all the realities of the situation, encourage exploration of all options and, most of all, not jump on the bandwagon for another war.

“Thank your president for the predicament we’re now in. The Iraq fiasco was supposed to be the “war of the 21st century” but there was never an intiative by this president to require everybody to pitch in and do their fair share.”
Leftist loopies spent more than a year castigating the president for not connecting the dots and doing enough to prevent the catastrophe on 9/11. As soon as he did, the cuckoos did a 180 and set up a hue and cry that he was infringing on their civil rights and the rights of a sovereign, benevolent government without clear cut, iron clad evidence of wrongdoing. If he listened to them again, they would be just as venomous about neglecting our responsibilities to the world while it collapsed around us.
I understand, he has done some things wrong, one of which is thinking he can appease his domestic enemies by fighting a gentleman’s war without casualties. He should have deported all the American Saddam butt wipes to Iraq, then wiped the entire country off the map.
D. Walker, you didn’t answer my question. ARE YOU IGNORANT OF A LIAR OR BOTH? Read the paragraph I referenced and answer me. Is that hard to do? Of course it is …It is plain wrong. Shy?
Incidentally, since yo8 obviously don’t know History, let me put some sour meat on on your plate. Did you know that since recorded history began with the Rosetta stone discovery, that Organized Religions have caused more premature death, and destruction than any other visible entity. Know what is in 2nd place? No you don’t. I’ll tell you. Rats, the long tailed animals. They are far behind.
Now answer my question about your last paragraph of your post that I referenced, or concede that I can refer to you as “Mr. D. Walker, a liar and Ignorant”?
The ball is in your court, sir!
johnh,
Here’s the last paragraph of the post you are speaking of:
< I know that we will have bombs dropped onto the U.S. For the first time < in our history the U.S. territory will become battle ground and
< what, destruction and devastation it will be for us. You guys have better < start programming your minds to think about PEACE.
Your statement and question concerning that last paragraph of mine was:
< D. Walker, Read your last paragraph is your preceding post. Are
< blatantly telling lies, or are you ignorant?
Now in the last post preceding this one by me, you ask me to answer if I was ignorant? Then you are rambling on about organized religion?
I am wondering and asking myself if you are a sane man? Why are you rambling on about organized religion concerning any of my post related above and not making any sense?
Let’s turn the question around back to you; no on second thought, let’s not because I am certain that you are will not make sense in any further responses neither. So tell you what, instead of me answering your question that makes NO SENSE, choose whatever you have conjured up in your strange mind that I am, have at it because it really isn’t important at all what I am in your mind, stupid, dumb, ignorant, or smart, astute, brilliant, it really doesn’t matter. How about that? I am and can be whatever you chose me to be in your little mind. Does this answer your question now?
By the way, next time please attempt to explain exactly what you are thinking and talking about because no one can read and make rational sense out of what you are stating or asking.
Also johnh,
If you would like to attempt this again, please explain how I am wrong and what history that you are referring to in intelligent man language without using phrases such as the Rats, long tail animal statements. Also, plese explain your thought process concerning your referance to organized religion and anything that was said in any of these posts.
Thank you, johnh.
D. Walker
This country was bombed during WW 2.
http://gesswhoto.com/oregon-bombing.html
But, there it did not become a battleground, nor was there devastation. That is what I stated and was saying. Imagine the devastation of bombs being dropped like we dropped them on Iraq and their citizens, infrastructure etc.. No the U.S. has never experience this kind of devastation.
Is this what johnh was referring to about me not knowing U.S. history? I and everyone else no about that little bomb that was dropped on U.S. soil.
Should have stated”
Everyone else and I know about that little bomb that was dropped on U.S. soil.
We know that the neo-con control bots lie. We know that the mass media lies. When the mass media isn’t lying then it isn’t saying anything at all; sins of omission. Nowhere in mass media are you being told that Karl Rove left the country. Early days? Maybe. We know that most of what we see and hear is being manipulated to provoke military and economic action against nations that DO NOT present a credible threat to the one’s planning these holocausts, present and future, and who are also the ones we most need to be protected against.
Surely, if you are not a part of the solution then you are a part of the problem. The price of oil is just going up and up and it affects everything else. It affects industry and the manufacture of goods. It affects the transportation of those goods. We are looking at a perfect storm of immense proportion. It is because of Israel’s warmongering against Iran that the price of oil has gone up. You might think it stupid that speculators would bid so much for something that is still widely available. But should the Straits of Hormuz be shut down somebody is going to make a lot of money, and it sure as hell won’t be you.
Iran may be its own kind of maverick nation and you may not like how they do things according to their idea of how things are but they don’t have a history of aggressive action against their neighbors. Israel’s history is filled with non-stop aggression against everyone besides themselves, regardless of whether that aggression takes the form of physical attack, economic attack, propaganda attack or guilt milking. The Levon Affair and the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty are just two well documented examples. Any time now they are going to go and get the Litani River. That’s the purpose of the news concerning rockets that don’t exist being sent to Lebanon by Iran.
I don’t know what to tell you. You, the people, continue to buy the bovine excrement that gets spoon fed you on a daily basis. An attack on Iran would put the final nail to our economic coffin. Iran knows this. They are trying their best to bait us into an action that will destroy us. Russia is playing the game too. They stand to gain the most from an attack, as they are second in oil exports. Putin is playing Bush like a fiddle. Does anyone get it? No. You aren’t even reading me right now. You’re driving through Disneyland and Jack the Ripper is in the back seat.

You are sick man, real sick. Please go get help.
My little mantra regarding WHO actually benefits in the USA & Iran becoming
involved in war: Israel and Sunni Saudi Arabia.
Hmmm. I wonder what the House of Saud’s advice is to the House of Bush on this? So hard to say…
