Taking a closer look at those anti-Obama ads
I have some issues with some of the anti-Obama ads the conservatives are running.
1. They’re calling Obama “arrogant. How can a conservative call Obama, or anyone, arrogant while supporting the most arrogant president in US history, a president so arrogant he commands his henchmen to openly defy congressional subpoenas? (I think that ‘arrogant” is the new term conservatives apply to those who, in decades past, they would have called “uppity”.)
2. The claim that we should vote for their man, John W. McBush, because he was a Vietnam war vet and Obama isn’t. John Kerry was a decorated Vietnam war vet who managed not to be captured, and Al Gore went to Vietnam. I don’t recall conservatives saying we should vote for Kerry or Gore when they ran against a draft dodger. so why should John W.
McBush’s war record matter when Gore and Kerry’s didn’t?
3. They claim that Obama wants to tax and regulate businesses, and that this will automatically lead to fewer jobs. We’ve had 8 years of W cutting taxes and regulations on businesses, preceded by 4 years of his father, and 8 years of Reagan, doing the same. The result was fewer jobs as businesses took and continue to take as many jobs as possible overseas to cheap, slave and and child labor using countries, and the conservatives didn’t consider that an issue, but now they say that Obama, by doing the opposite of what 3 conservative president have spent 20 years doing, will create job losses. Why do they think doing the opposite of what republican presidents have done for 20 years will cause more job losses, and why do they care of Obama’s policies does cause job losses when they didn’t care about the job losses caused by republican presidential policies?

When the blessed Obamamessiah runs around saying that “I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions”, or “this is the moment that the world is waiting for”, the Chosen One has taken arrogance to new levels.
This “Bush is a draft dodger” bit is another lie that the whackos on the left keep pushing. Wake up Russ, Dan Rather’s memo was forged.
The huge tax increases promised by the Golden Child will certainly be a drag on business. The US already has the second-highest corporate tax rate in the world. If you want to see business stay here in America, that rate needs to be reduced, not raised. As usual, The One has it backwards.

Clinton openly defied not just congress but civil and criminal courts.
I say NObama because his policies suck! Obama has publicly stated that he will tax us into poverty. And of course we can inflate our tires and we will be energy independant.
Kerry is a liar and a traitor. Gore is just a Bore.
Russ-bob, it wasn’t the conservatives that passed NAFTA which allowed all these companies to seek lower labor rates and lower taxes. IF you owned a business where would you headquarter it? In an area with high taxes and labor rates? With unions that could hold your business hostage? With government regulation which will fine you thousands of dollars because your railing is 1/4 inch to low or where you are forced to pay extreme liability rates because a court awarded obscene amounts to a moron who was to stupid to know that you can’t pick up an operating lawn mower to trim your hedges. Or would you go where taxes are low, labor rates are low, and government regulation is at a minimum?

I will ignore most of your diatribe.
However, you talk about courts awarding money to people who are stupid and do stupid things then sue. I have little argument about stupid people getting big awards.
However, the court does not award these huge awards. The jury does and often these are made up of people who think like you until they get in the jury box. The court can reduce the award but not eliminate it unless they can find an the jury worked improperly.
I worked with people two people like you. They always had lawyer jokes and screaming about people getting stupid awards. They also were always advising people to sue. One of them came to work mad because his niece was cut from the school band and his sister would not take his advice to sue the school. So look within when you talk about the awards and stop blaming the courts.
