Really people, birds of a feather …
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
I am writing in response to the letter from Sydell Shayer published Wednesday, October 8, which chided Governer Palin for expressing concern about Senator Obama’s association with terrorist Bill Ayers. It was stated “Guilt by association is an unethical and discredited campaign tactic.” Well, I don’t know what kind of campaign tactic it is or isn’t, but who you chum around with is very important, especially if you’re wanting to be the leader of the free world. Let me give you an example: if your son or daughter is hanging around drug addicts, what do you think is going on? And while we don’t know the details (and probably never will with today’s complicit mainstream media), Mr. Obama’s continued pattern of associating with radicals of the far-left tells us a lot about himself.
Robert Stoecklein
Weldon Spring

Robert
It is easier to speak to a brick wall, than to a liberal. Lord help this country if we have Obama/Pelosi/Reid. Mexico will look like a paradise.
If the libs watch this video, and still want their savior Obama as president, this country is in one sorry shape.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/?pageId=77539
Well JD get your passport ready so you can go to your new paradise. Obama is leading in most Polls by over 6 points. I take Obama over erratic McCain.
Bob
I am not like you libs, and threaten to leave when the going gets rough.
Robert, what a brilliant observation. You are outstanding. Obviously you are going to tell us what you mean by “chum”. Does that mean you see someone once a month or everyday or perhaps twice a year? And of course you know just how many times Obama and Ayers have spoken in the last year. That what I like about you “fact” people. You have all the information.
And poor JD. Is that really the best video you can come up with? Someone else trying to tag along on Obama’s coat tails. You probably were disappointed that those two didn’t endorse McCain. Now are you going to criticize McCain for all those KKK guys who have come out in support of him?
That’s what makes you so special JD, the way you are able to connect the dots. Next time, stick to a real dot puzzle. They’re easier and you don’t have to lie.
And JD, I don’t think Mexico would want you, at least if they try to maintain their present high standards.
A better way to explain Obama’s friend William Ayres and Bernadine Dorn.
William Ayres & Bernadine Dorn = TIMOTHY McVEIGH Homegrown terrorists!!!
To Robert Stoecklein,
If Obama served on some boards, does that mean he was the ideological clone of every person on that board? That is what you are proposing! Is he responsible to know the entire life history of every person he has contact with in the course of daily life? That is what you are proposing! If you sat next to a convicted felon on a bus, does that make you an accomplice in the crime he committed last month or a decade ago? That is what you are proposing! That’s why guilt by association is a discredited campaign tactic.
Now let’s talk about a REAL pattern. Sarah Palin was just convicted of an ethics violation of abusing the public trust in the Troopergate scandal. As mayor in Wasilla Alaska she redecorated the Mayor’s office to the tune of $50k. When the bill came in a city councilman told her that you can’t just do that you have to run it by the city council first. Palin told him-I’m the mayor, I can do what I want till the courts tell me different.
Please give me the guy who served on a board next to a former terrorist, now a college professor, and not the gal who has a proven record of abusing the power of office.
Like I said JD and Robert, the facts and nothing but the facts. Palin has been outed and the best you can get on Obama is guilt by long distance association.
McCain is desperate.
NYT Letter to the Editor
As the lead federal prosecutor of the Weathermen in the 1970s (I was then chief of the criminal division in the Eastern District of Michigan and took over the Weathermen prosecution in 1972), I am amazed and outraged that Senator Barack Obama is being linked to William Ayers’s terrorist activities 40 years ago when Mr. Obama was, as he has noted, just a child.
Although I dearly wanted to obtain convictions against all the Weathermen, including Bill Ayers, I am very pleased to learn that he has become a responsible citizen.
Because Senator Obama recently served on a board of a charitable organization with Mr. Ayers cannot possibly link the senator to acts perpetrated by Mr. Ayers so many years ago.
– William C. Ibershof, Oct. 8, 2008
“I AM AN ALASKAN, NOT AN AMERICAN. I have no use for America and her damned institutions. The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to MY HATRED OF THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT. And, I won’t be buried under her damned flag. I’ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home.”
– Joe Vogler, Founder of the Alaskan Independence Party
The Alaskan Independence Party believes that there should be a vote on Alaskan secession.
Sarah Palin’s husband was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party until 2002.
In 2008, Palin recorded a message for the AIP’s annual convention, stating that Alaska has “a great promise to be a self-sufficient state” and encouraging them to “keep up the good work.”
The media need to investigate Sarah Palin’s relationship to this extremist SECESSIONIST organization and ask whether she has the judgment and character to be VP and potentially President.
The absolute lack of integrity in McCain and Palin’s smears of Obama are making the voters sick, and only help drive independents and some Republicans to vote for Obama. There’s a landslide comin’, you betcha!
http://dangerousintersection.org/2008/10/09/economy-economy-we-dont-need-no-stinking-economy/
Mr. Stoecklein,
Certainly, no one can make you believe anything you don’t want to believe. However, from everything I have been able to read and listen to Sen. Obama’s relationship with Mr. Ayers was that of acquaintance only. To say he was “chummy” with, or friends with, or that Mr. Ayers is somehow an advisor or mentor to Sen. Obama is, quite simply, a lie. Better investigators than anyone who inhabits these blogs have vetted Sen. Obama and found this to be an accurate portrayal of this relationship. Now, if you want to subscribe to the school of “say it enough and everyone will start to believe it” propaganda, much like the Karl Rove/George Bush crowd would do, be my guest.
Lisa12:
“Because Senator Obama recently served on a board of a charitable organization with Mr. Ayers cannot possibly link the senator to acts perpetrated by Mr. Ayers so many years ago.
– William C. Ibershof, Oct. 8, 2008″
Snuggling with Charles Manson would not link you to the acts he committed so many years ago but it could possibly bring into question your current character or mental stability.
– Joe Vogler, Founder of the Alaskan Independence Party”
I’m impressed Lisa, after sternly rebuking those who assume “guilt by association” it somehow creeps into the next post you make, linking Sarah Palin, if I’m allowed to paraphrase your William C. Ibershof, “to acts perpetrated by Mr. Palin so many years ago.” It is only Republicans who are not allowed to practice this disgusting action? Stick to bullying comments on Government Healtcare, yours tend to get stupid and ugly on other subjects.
I think the issue is the term “palling” or as you put it “chum around”. That sets up images of them doing beers and shots on Laclede’s landing. They were on a charity board together. A very respected charity. YEARS ago Ayers held a coffe for Obama. That seems to be the extent of their “palling” around. Even the paper who wrote the original article said they didn’t associate with each other. Barak was in first grade when the crimes were committed, so it seems to be a stretch to intimate he was involved.
The saddness is that this campaign has deteriorated to McCain saying Obama’s BAD. His followers chanting ” kill him ….”
And that’s no way to run a campaign.
Rich Brown:
“Please give me the guy who served on a board next to a former terrorist, now a college professor, and not the gal who has a proven record of abusing the power of office.”
Procurement is not our strong suit, Rich. If the guy who appeals to you serves on a board with a college professor, go for the gold. I assure you we will not force any gal of proven or otherwise records on you.
Sage–
I agree with you. NEITHER of the issues should ever be brought up again.
HKCHAS:
“Even the paper who wrote the original article said they didn’t associate with each other. Barak was in first grade when the crimes were committed, so it seems to be a stretch to intimate he was involved.”
Classic misdirection HK, nobody ever said Barack was directly involved in Ayers’ criminal conduct during his extensive stretch in the first grade, only that they were revolted by Obama’s kissing up to an evil klutz 25 years later.
Obama said he was 8 years old at the time of the crimes and you say he was a first grader. Had he failed sandbox and been held back twice? Most first graders are 6 or so
Sage –
For a moment I thought you had seen the light. “Guilt by association” is false logic. But it seems as if you didn’t…..Then the Palin Anti-American stuff is OK too, but wouldn’t it be a BETTER election if neither was lied about again ? Sorry, too, about the 1st grade gaff…. I, myself, was in first grade until I married the teacher. Guess I was 18 or 21 when I left.
Breathe deep Sage— November is ALMOST here…..
Give it a rest, it’s a non-issue. It’s been pointed out that pretty much every public figure in Illinois who has ever been involved in education reform has dealt with, talked to, or met with Bill Ayers. So what? Does that disqualify every Illinois politician from high office?
It seems to me that charges were dropped in his case some 35 years ago. He never stood trial, never was convicted of anything. I ask again, is being charged with a crime equivalent to a conviction? If so, I have a long list of big name Republican supporters who fall in that category who have tainted the political process on the Republican side of the aisle, not to mention convicted criminals who did their time, but are still held up as paragons of Republican Virtue like Ollie North and G. Gordon Liddy. You’re trying to have it both ways. If criminal charges make a person persona non grata to political candidates, then the rule better apply across the board, in equal measure to all candidates.
To Inaspastic Rage,
There is a QUALITATIVE DIFFERENCE, in serving on the board of a charitable organization with someone, and being a MEMBER and encouraging an organization whose aims and its leader advocate the hatred of and secession from the United States of America.
You say-”Snuggling with Charles Manson would not link you to the acts he committed so many years ago but it could possibly bring into question your current character or mental stability.” In reference to Ayers, so apply that same standard to Palin. She obviously has been influenced by the Alaska Independence Party and its leaders as she has addressed their convention and urged them to keep up the good work. Her censure for Abusing the Public Trust, yesterday is proof of her unfitness for office.
You also say-”Procurement is not our strong suit”. It’s hard to believe that as you pander to every right wing-nut on these threads. You pimp every gop talking point as fast as it comes down from Fox News. If you ever have an original thought, I’ll preserve it under glass for posterity or at least to shelter everyone from its odor.
— Iconoclastic Sage to Lisa12
“Snuggling with Charles Manson would not link you to the acts he committed so many years ago but it could possibly bring into question your current character or mental stability. . . . . yours tend to get stupid and ugly on other subjects.”
Your own words again as even more proof that when intelligent discussion starts you interject to divert to illogical, hateful, baiting and personnel attacks. You just cannot contribute anything of substance or worth to the discussions. Just attacks.
JD
No you are like the radical right that say if you do not think like I do then get out of the country for we only have room for your view and anyone who fails to believe your thoughts should be gone. Do not say you do not think that way for I have seen you tell people to leave.
Derelict Muslim dad, druggies in school, radical Pakistani who helped him get into Harvard, terrorist Ayers, ACORN’s vote fraud, indicted slum landlord Rezko, Rev. Wrong, spouse who isn’t proud of America, Fannie Mae looters, etc., etc., etc. Nice crowd!
Sorry Robert, but the attempt to “swift boat” Obama with the Ayers connection has failed. It failed because it was a weak argument from the beginning. Ayers and his group, the Weather Underground set off bombs over thirty years ago to protest the Vietnam War, but are you aware that, 1)no one was killed and, 2)no one was even hurt.
The only hope was that this lame argument would catch enough fire with the Republican base for it to spread to Independents. It didn’t.
This time, the attempt to manipulate the voters with a tenuous argument has failed.
p.s., did you catch John McCain take the microphone away from a lady in his audience who called Obama an “Arab”? How about when McCain said that Obama is actually a decent man who they should have no fear of if elected president-and they booed? It was a revelation to see him fighting the ignorance. Maybe his conscious couldn’t take it anymore. If that is the case, it’s the only chance he has of winning this election.
Obviously Airball, does not agree with John McCain.
When addressing some of his supporters in Minnesota John McCain told the crowd that Obama is a decent person with the sell being of the United States on mind. McCain said that no citizen should fear Obama. While McCain said that he thought that he would be a better President he admitted that Obama would be a good and hard working President.
So all of your right wingers who want to slander Obama, take it up with the Republican candidate for the office.
Airball–
What a sad character you are ….
To Skippy,
I think it is pretty late in the game for the revival of McCain’s conscience to have an effect. The only thing we have to fear is that race baiters have given enough excuse to those that think they have no prejudice to vote for McCain. Maybe McCain finally thought about how this campaign was affecting his black daughter, I don’t know. It will be interesting to see what the campaign ads from McCain look like after this. I’ll bet that last night was the first decent night’s sleep that McCain has had in weeks, and the last decent night’s sleep that his campaign staff will have till the election is over.
Looks like even “birds of a feather” have their differences;

Rich Brown and STL:
You both took exception to my comment, “Snuggling with Charles Manson would not link you to the acts he committed so many years ago but it could possibly bring into question your current character or mental stability.”
My comment was in response to Barack Obama’s denial of direct involvement with a leftist klutz determined to bring the United States down. Exaggerated denials are usually suspect, nobody ever accused an 8 year old Obama of direct involvement in Ayers’ crimes, only a childlike palsy-walsy fascination of America haters like Ayers, Wright, Pfleger and Farrakhan, well into his adult years.
To Happy Pants,
If you take your hands out of your pockets, do you become Sad Pants? This is such a phony republican link, it would only fool Inaspastic Rage.
Rich, I don’t personally think it will make a differnce at this point. It is a good thing, though, if his conscience ( not “conscious” as I stated ealier)awoke. This is the McCain I had respect for and could at one time, have voted for. Unfortunately for him, his opportunty came at the worst time.
To Skippy,
If McCain’s conscience is experiencing redemption, then it could be good for us post-election, or is this the end of McCain’s term in the Senate? I don’t remember. If he returns to the Senate it might actually help Obama’s agenda on certain issues, where they have little disagreement.

Mr. Happy-
Nice to see you back again. What’s with McCain saying that we shouldn’t fear an Obama presidency? Then McCain goes on to gush about how Obama is respectable, a family man, that he respects him, etc….Where does that leave McCain’s supporters when McCain disavows their lunatic and mean spririted tirades?
Maybe this YouTube video is the October surprise:

I’ll try again:

You know SSK, JD, and Airball can post all they want of the hate video’s, hate messages, and fanatical writings that they wish. It does not matter. The American people are rejecting them and their views. They can pretend that they have found the Holy Grail of the plans Obama has of committing all sorts of illegal and immoral acts. Yet their views are rejected, not only by the American people but Obama’s political opponents. If his opponents really thought that there was even an ounce of validity then they, which includes McCains committee would be running ad after ad pointing to these views and acts. However, they do not. In fact John McCain has called Obama a decent person who will made a decent President.
In essence John McCain has called JD, Airball, SSK, and their view points cr*p.
Hate videos? Hate message? Seriously? I’m just trying to get to the truth. Is Senator Obama eligible to run for the office of President of the United States or not? Because I feel it is necessary to look, investigate, question and have been trying to get the word out about the lawsuit, my message is one of hate? No, not at all. I just want the truth. And every other American should want the truth as well. That has nothing at all to do with hate.
Yes, there is so much evidence that Obama and Ayers “chum” around. They probably talk every night and are in cahoots to bring down the United States. Delusional.
The story of Palin and her corrupt handling of Troopergate should be another nail in the McSame presidential quest coffin. I still don’t understand why Obama doesn’t hammer away at McNasty’s history with Keating and the S&L debacle. The relationship with McSame and Keating has been proven. Period. These are just more pieces of evidence of McOldy’s inability to govern and make decisions in areas that require strength in problem solving and decision making. Get a grip Mr. Stoecklein.
JD is an idiot.
Airhead. I bet you kick dogs and hate children. I bet your mom even has a hard time liking you.
SSK
Yes lies and hate, you wish to call it the truth but all you are doing is spreading hate. Do you really think that if it was the truth that John mcCain would not be running the ad’s that you claim to be the truth.
Once again John McCain has called Obama a decent person.
You in your little world of hate have taken cr*p and want it to be the truth otherwise you could not survive. Why can you not survive? Because you cannot except that people reject your little world that can only accept your own viewpoint. America is rejecting you. It is rejecting you and your world of hate.
So what is it if it all turns out to be true, Bob?
SSK-
And how about overseas military bases ?
BTW the only other person concerned with Obama’s birth certificate is a guy who doesn’t believe 9/11 happened. You’re in some pretty scary company there…
HKCHAS, you are incorrect. Many people care about the birth certificate issue and want to insure that the Constitution is upheld. Just because you do not and you want to dismiss it as nonsense, doesn’t mean you are correct.
And what about overseas military bases? That is a non sequitur that I don’t understand. Obama’s mother was not in the military, so I fail to see your point at all. Her age (or lack thereof) and location at the time of Obama’s birth is the issue. Also, Obama may have lost his possible citizenship when he lived in Indonesia. There is also the matter of his dual citizenship in Kenya. These are just questions that need to be answered so the issue can be resolved. All I’ve done is ask people to read and inform themselves because I think these are valid questions.
Blah, blah, blah SSK. Are you kidding me? You’re worried about a birth certificate. Check out McOldy’s voting record on Veteran issues. Shouldn’t you be more concerned with that?
2007-2008 In 2007-2008 Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America gave Senator McCain a grade of D.
2006 Senator McCain supported the interests of the Disabled American Veterans 20 percent in 2006.
2006 In 2006 Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America gave Senator McCain a grade of D.
2006 Senator McCain sponsored or co-sponsored 18 percent of the legislation favored by the The Retired Enlisted Association in 2006.
2005 Senator McCain supported the interests of the Disabled American Veterans 25 percent in 2005.
2004 Senator McCain supported the interests of the Disabled American Veterans 50 percent in 2004.
2004 Senator McCain supported the interests of the The Retired Enlisted Association 0 percent in 2004.
2003-2004 Senator McCain supported the interests of the Vietnam Veterans of America 100 percent in 2003-2004.
2003 Senator McCain supported the interests of the The American Legion 50 percent in 2003.
2001 Senator McCain supported the interests of the Vietnam Veterans of America 46 percent in 2001.
1999 Senator McCain supported the interests of the Disabled American Veterans 66 percent in 1999.
1997-1998 Senator McCain supported the interests of the Vietnam Veterans of America 0 percent in 1997-1998.
1989-1990 On the votes that the Vietnam Veterans of America considered to be the most important in 1989-1990 , Senator McCain voted their preferred position 50 percent of the time.
“Yes lies and hate, you wish to call it the truth but all you are doing is spreading hate. Do you really think that if it was the truth that John mcCain would not be running the ad’s that you claim to be the truth.
Once again John McCain has called Obama a decent person.

Because you cannot except that people reject your little world that can only accept your own viewpoint. America is rejecting you. It is rejecting you and your world of hate.”
Bob, your entire analysis is incorrect. And a bit melodramatic and over the top too.
So, SPP6118, what are you saying? That you don’t care if Obama is eligible to hold the office of President of the United States, you want him so much that you don’t care?
SSK
You are the one posting hate filled video’s. You are the one posting thoughts and blogs that John McCains campaign has already rejected has to radical and over the top to be true. Yet you continue to call them the truth.
I would not even call what you post has swift boating, for that would disparage swift boaters.
Face it America has seen the hate and has turned its back on what you call the truth.
SPP116B and SSK
See that is what I have been saying about SSK. He believes that he has found the evidence, or rather others have and he is now spreading the word. He believes that he found evidence that says Obama is not eligible to be President. He believes that McCains committee is so inept that if Obama was not eligible under the law to be President that McCains committee would not have discovered it. All the millions of dollars McCain has spent on being President and he is losing. Yet all he has to do is create one advertisement that shows that Obama is not eligible to be President. If it was true then the issue would not be decided in 3 weeks it would be decided today and McCain would win by 99% of the ballots cast.
That is all McCain would have to do to win if SSK was correct about Obama’s eligibility. However, SSK is just wallowing in his hate and America has rejected him
SSK–
MCCAIN was born overseas…… darn foriegners want to take over!
SSK….what I’m saying is you’re stupid. Do you think if Obama isn’t eligible to run for President that McSame and his whack jobs wouldn’t have already taken care of this? Get real.
So…Obama has had some encounters with Ayers that to right wing whack jobs make Obama evil and the antichrist.
I don’t think Obama has left our military men and women hung out to dry like McCain has.
Check out votevets.org Great web site. McOldy should be ashamed of himself.
SPP6118 and SSK
Truth is each bill is known for its main component, for instance it can be a military spending bill. However, there are riders and other clauses in almost any bill. For instance a military spending bill might also have has a rider a minimum wage increase. A Senator might vote against the bill because of the minimum wage increase, that does not mean that they do not want the military spending.
An example is the military funding for Iraq that McCain makes a big deal about that Obama voted against. Obama voted against it when there was no rider for a time table. McCain voted against the same bill when it did include a rider for a time table.
This does not make one more ant troop than the other. However, the right wing only wishes to acknowledge one vote.
Here’s a novel idea for Demorats to see if they genuinely “support the troops.” In a time of war against Muslim extremists, just let the military vote for president. Is there any doubt which candidate they prefer? It’s simply a war hero who wants them to win (via the surge) versus a coward who says they air raid villages, voted against funding for them and would rather shoot a three (play basketball) than visit injured troops keeping us free.
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/11/jailed-obama-fundraiser-spills-beans/
I don’t know if it is the truth or not that Senator Obama is ineligible to run for office of President of the United States. But I haven’t ruled out the possibility without an official seeing his birth certiticate. I just want to have the issues resolved by Senator Obama by showing the vault copy of his birth certificate AND other documentation resolving the Indonesian and Kenyan citizenship issues. Every other American has to show the vault copy of their birth certificates from time to time. It does not seem like too much to ask of someone running for the highest office in the land.
HKCHAS, John McCain has also been sued two or three times questioning his eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States since he was born in the Panama Canal Zone. That’s fine and good. These questions need to be asked and answered. Those suits were dismissed AND Senator McCain produced documentation when asked to do so. He was born to two American citizens, one of whom was serving in the military, which is why the family was out of the U.S. to begin with. I just would like to know why Senator Obama has chosen not to show his birth certficiate, except to supply a photo copy to a website. Why not produce the actual document for the courts? If it is so nutty, why not produce it and laugh at Berg and tell him to go away so that this suit and all the discussion about it also just goes away? Why drag it out by filing a Motion to Dismiss when the easier route would be to just show the vault birth certificate?
Do you all really think these are such unreasonable questions? If so, why?

SSK…dribble dribble dribble. I’m more concerned with how Obama is going to help solve our economic problems.
Concerned. Anyone can post right wing garbage from right wing web sites. Just don’t drink the kool-aid when they tell you it’s good for you.
Barry Boy wouldn’t have been able to solve his own home financing problems without “a helping hand” from convicted slum lord Tony Rezko. Yet these leftist fanatics “believe” their Messiah will be able to solve the entire nation’s economic woes. There is just not enough room on Farrakhan’s mother ship for all of these libnuts.
Obama doesn’t have to prove anything in court. It is up to the plaintiff to prove HIS point in court. Anyone can sue anyone for any reason. We all know that.
A birth certificate, by the way, is a public document. If Berg really wanted to see Obama’s birth certificate, all he has to do is go to Honolulu and pay a visit to the County Clerk’s office. For a small fee, he can even get a certified copy.
Happy Pants and SSK’s links are intriguing.
I didn’t realize that there were questions of Obama intimidation and fraud in the democratic primaries, too. The MSM never covered the allegation’s.
I don’t trust Obama. I don’t trust the MSM.
Why hasn’t Obama released his birth certificate? Has he really not produced a birth certificate???? (This is news to me).
If he doesn’t even have this, then, there should never be a peep about the Palin vetting.
Bob, SP6118, it is possible that McCain and the media aren’t going to touch this until after the judge makes a ruling. That would be the prudent thing to do since for now nobody can get documentation one way or the other. Obama could supply it, but he chooses not to do so.
It would appear that the only way for anyone other than Obama to get documentation is to go to court and force the issue. Why? Because of Privacy Act laws. Philip Berg tried to get documentation from the U.S. State Department but he was denied because in order to do that, Berg would have had to include written authorization from Obama for release of any records. Once the courts force the issue and information is made available, then maybe McCain will run with it IF there is anything to run with.
hs, I think you are incorrect that just anyone can get a birth certificate of a living person. I can get my own and my kids, but I cannot get yours because birth certificates are confidential records. I think someone has to be dead for a specific amount of time before John Q. Public could request a copy of a birth certiticate. I’ll have to research it to be absolutely sure, but I do believe that you are in error.
Birth Certificate–
There is only ONE official birth certificate for any of us. The one produced and certified by the state. When you apply for a passport the “vault ” or “souvenir” certificate will not be accepted. The Berg lawsuit ( btw the guy is a denys the 9/11 attack also )addirionally includes some other really weird assertions . Just google it to read the suit itself. Sadly any body with a filing fee and time to go to the courthouse can FILE as suit without ANY proof of fact, and that is what has happened. Just go to Obamas site to SEE his birth certificate.
You must assume that Obama FORGED his birth certificate… then posted it on the net so any one in the WORLD could see it, assuming no one could tell a forged certificate from a real one.
That logic is startling.
Remember the forged document about Bush’s service record were shown BRIEFLY on a news show and within hours they were revealed to be forgeries.
So you must think that all the hackers, crackers, and web detectives in the world are in on the conspiracy to put Barak in office.
Oppose a guy because you don’t agree with his programs, or polices, NOT because some one told you he was a muslim, christian, America hating, evil, black, guy…… the net is FILLED with bullshit so pick and choose carefully what you choose to believe .
Hey, Take Mccain’s word that Obama is a descent, American guy. He seems like a nice old guy
Messiah Cultists:
Don’t faint, but do you know, let alone care, that misguided Michelle organized an event bringing Ayers and B.O. together before Barry Boy funneled millions of dollars from Ayers to radical educational entities? No, the B.S. from B.O. is that he only knew Ayers because the terrorist was almost Mr. Rogers (just in the neighborhood) and their kids went to school together. Ayers’ children are probably brainwashed dumb but they can’t possibly have flunked that much. They’re only 20 years older than the Rev. Wrong-baptized girls.
HKCHAS, there are folks who say the Obama birth certificate is a forgery and offer documentation as to why they think that. Are they right? I don’t know. I sure would like to, though. I’ve been posting here (and elsewhere) since I learned about the lawsuit back in late August, early September, and I’ve taken a lot of abuse for it and a lot of people think it is crazy. It might be. I agree that Philip Berg has at least one nutjob lawsuit in his past (9/11 suit) and this may be another. But, I sure would like to know because it hasn’t gone away and the judge hasn’t dismissed it yet. The McCain suits were dismissed fairly quickly. Why not this one?
SSK
Get real, you are grasping at straws. You mean that McCain is going to blow his last chance to be President simply because he is waiting for a judge to make a ruling on Obama being eligible.
I bet you believe in Easter Bunnies and Santa Clause if you really believe what you wrote,
Airball
Like I said before America has heard the hate that you, JD, and SSK spew and they have turned their backs on you.
Here is a term you need to get use to President of the United States Barack Obama
I don’t know, Bob, perhaps I am grasping at straws. But, if McCain came out with this without having a judge with a ruling and documentation supporting that ruling, wouldn’t everyone just dismiss him as a senile old nut? Wouldn’t he also just get the same reactions and treatment that I have been getting, except on a much broader and public scale?
By the way, I don’t believe in the Easter Bunny, but I do believe in Santa Claus. Are you suggesting he isn’t real?
You sick liberals need to understand, before you can be cured, you have to admit you have a problem, and boy do you have a problem. Handouts, un-American, ignorant, unfettered abortions, hate the armed forces. What wussies.
Airhead, I’m beginning to suspect that you are a racist. You keep repeating the same old stuff day in and day out. Rezko this, Ayres that. Might I remind you of McNasty’s cahoots with Charles Keating. Charles Keating. Remember him? Huge S&L scandal. For those of you that don’t know, here is a real quick rundown.
Savings and loan associations had been deregulated in the early 1980s, allowing them the opportunity to make highly risky investments with their depositors’ money, an opportunity of which Keating took advantage. Keating was directly responsible for violating the direct investment rule, regulating the amount of investments that can be owned by savings and loans. Keating had accounting violations to the tune of $650 million dollars, the largest in the history of the FTC, and greatly leading the banks to peril.
Some regulators noted the danger posed by these deregulations and pushed for more oversight, but Congress refused. This was due, in part, to the Keating Five, five Senators — Dennis DeConcini, Alan Cranston, John Glenn, Don Riegle and John McSame — who had received, for both themselves and for groups they supported , well over $1 million from Keating in the 1980s as favors and political contributions.
So, Keating had McOldy in his back pocket. And Airhead is worried about Rezko? He needs to look in McNasty’s closets.
SSK said….”it is possible that McCain and the media aren’t going to touch this until after the judge makes a ruling…”
You’re kidding me right? McOldy all of a sudden is going to go above board? His campaign has put out lie after lie after lie and you think he is waiting for the courts to settle this? You’re not only stupid but you’re also naive.
Gosh, I don’t understand you right wing whack jobs. We are in the worst economic state since the great depression. We are in an unjust war. Our men and women are dying for unjust reasons. Kids are hungry. Old people can’t afford health care. And you people want more of the same.
SPP6118, Airball, concerned, do you really need to call so many names? Can you at least be civil? Yes, we each have our opinions and disagree, but is all the name-calling really necessary? Can we strive for a level of civility, please?
Rezko and Ayers. Are you color blind? Highlighted by DNC chair Dean, the fall-back position for leftists always is racism. A classic example is unfolding with the abysmal ACORN crowd that B.O. defended despite all of the stench and human debris stemming from that corrupt organization.
Airhead…just as I thought, nothing about Keating. So, is that a yes or no on you being a racist?
SSK…Civility? I tried that and was bombarded by JD the Idiot, Airhead, and others. So, no. Not going for civility. Kerry did that 4 years ago and look where that got us.
SPP6118
From what I read in this threads, it is you that is a complete idiot moron, that supports a corrupt Obama. From the sites I posted earlier, proves he corrupt. Idiot moron is actually too good a name for you.
Concerned:
You shouldn’t go beyond moron. Idiot is too many syllables. Textbook English isn’t included in the mother ship curriculum. However, remedial math is included in order for ACORN reps to meet their voter fraud quota.
Airball
I read here more than I post. It sounds like you and JD must be some bad dudes, that is if you listen to SPP6118. Also read in earlier posts that SPP6118 works with children and corrupts them. Must be an ACORN member, so he/she really knows the trade.
SSK
Your concern for McCain saying something before a judicial ruling is really grasping at straws.
McCain does not even have to say that it is true, he would just have to point out that some people have concerns. That those concerns are being adjudicated. That to date that a judge has enough concerns that he has taken it under advisement.
yet they do not say a word. This is tacit acceptance from the Republican Party that there is no belief in the allocation.
You might not be in the same category as JD and Airball. You definitely are not in the category of Gaucho who a day or two ago indicated that he is starting to form a militia to oppose an Obama Presidency. So if earlier I had misjudged you I apologize. However, i am sure that you are so desperate for McCain to win that you are willing to believe anything that the far right throws out there.
SSK
Let me explain something that concerned has eluded to in his answer to you. I originally came to these blogs hoping to exchange views and idea’s with people from all persuasion. I was civil at the time and try to be today but admit that I cross the line more than I am proud.
I was quickly attacked by the far right, who have questioned my patriotism. I have been accused of wanting to do things that are unspeakable with the most innocent parts of society. I have been told that I should leave America. I have been called all sorts of vial names. I have been told that I hate the military. Very few times do the people calling me names or telling me to leave offer alternative solutions. All they say is NO to everything. Instead I would like them to say No to the total idea, take a part that they like and add their alternatives. Read Airballs responses were does he ever give reasoned thought other than what he needs to call people names? JD occasionally is a little better, but has offered to show people the door. Gaucho has stated that he is prepared to form a militia. There are many more that I could list but will not.
So if people react quickly and negatively toward you, it is because the far right that preceded you has paved the way.
Bobby is a victim. Make sure the health care B.O. gives him includes therapy. After all, it’s a “right” from the left. I hope his dilemma doesn’t include being forced to accept a mortgage he couldn’t afford or being bribed with cigs by ACORN to fill out extra voter registrations. Let’s all ask Joe Biden to increase his meager charitable giving to help Bobby out.
hey there Robert,
Is it the water out there in Weldon Springs or have you been drinking from the Kool-Aid trough at the Repo’s headquarters. I guess you have to try to make connection like this because you Repo’s don’t want to talk about the crappy state that are country is in after the last 8 yrs. I am sure you being one of the Repo’s, you don’t really want to talk about the financial crunch we are in or the unending war our solders are fighting. Talk about the issues—I can understand if you Repo’s want to avoid these topics. Cloud the issues, try to confuse the voters. What is with you zealot Repos that live out in Weldon Springs.
SSK
Read Airball’s last response to my explanation that I gave you why people go negative so quickly. He is a prime example of why there is so much negativity in responses from the left. Go back through his responses and you will see he can not give one idea, he just tries to attack the person. His writings are a good example why people are moving away from the Republicans.
Airball(Airhead) let me give you a phrase that you need to get use to: President of the United States Obama.
The only way Obama will become president is through voter fraud. That is why ACORN is registering people multiple times and signing up the dead. There are too many sane people in this country, if there is a fair vote.
Concerned
That is right stay in denial. Obama is leading in all the polls by substantial numbers. Since 1980 everyone with the lead he has at the moment has gone on to win. So get use to the phrase.
A lot of the country is just now finding out about Obama’s corrupt ties, and the polls are showing it. You also have to take in account the Bradley affect, which has only been in a state wide race. Just multiply a state wide vote verses a country wide vote, and the Bradley affect will push McCain/Palin over the top.
Apology accepted, Bob. I do try to stay civil, but I’m sure I’ve been out of line at times too. I think everyone is tense and worried, with the economy the way it is. Just when we think things have gotten as bad as we think they can, they get worse, so I guess everyone is on edge.
To be clear, there is no hate or racism from me, though I’m sure that is what drives some. I do admit to fear because I am not thrilled with either of the choices we have, McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden. I have reservations about both teams. I have major reservations about an Obama presidency and I do believe friends and associates are valid areas to question and explore. SPP6118 brought up Keating as an example. Fine and good, let’s look at McCain closely for that, ask whatever questions we want and scrutinze his answers, along with the facts of history. The same goes for Palin. I’m glad we got some answers about troopergate. I would like to also be able to look at Obama for his ties as well and it appears that there is much resistance to do that. Being called a hater for wanting to have full disclosure from ALL candidates does lack civility and I could certainly do without that. Anyway, apology accepted.
Bob: I can tell you a thoughtful, respectful guy. You don’t deserve the rants you get from the right. But I have quit posting here and moved on to other chat rooms because I got just the same thing from some lefties here. I have been pleading for Obama supporters to just take a good look at their candidate. I am immediately called a racist and an idiot. I can assure you, I am neither. I admit to being right wing nut job.
Bob
Just got logged on, and havent’t posted for about a day or so. To many motorcyle miles tired me out. Have to take advantage of this beautiful weather.
You are badly mistaken, if you believe I am on the far right. I am center to right, and want, what is best for this nation, and im my opinion, Obama is not what is best. Raising taxes, espically for the next couple of years, will send us into a depression, and I do not like his past friends and spiritual mentor. As I have stated numerous times, I am not a McCain fan, but will hold my nose on Nov. 4. Comparing him to Obama, is a no-brainer for me. I wish there was a third party, and I mean a real third party.
We could very well have Obama as our next president, and I shudder at the thought. But when he leads us down the same path as Jimmy Carter did in the 70’s, he will be a 1 term president. The polls are closing back up and anything can happen, and I just hope ACORN can be stopped by the courts for buying votes and their corruption.
JD and concerned
I have considered the Bradley effect, which does not say a lot for America. The Bradley effect basically says that someone is going to be a closet racist.
As far has his associates. Concerned, you might just be finding out about them but they have been talked about since the primaries. Everything shows that except for the Republican base the Ayer’s association is not considered a starting point. I cannot address all the associations between Ayer’s and Obama. However, I did some research. It has been pointed out that they sat on the same board in Chicago. This board dealt with improving the schools. First Obama sat on the board, Ayers was part of an advisory committee. This was a non profit organization set up by a Republican, I forgot the guys name and do not feel like looking it up again. However, the guy who sat up the foundation was responsible for appointing the various members, so he also chose Ayers. This guy was also a strong friend and supporter of Ronald Reagan.
As for the polls. Recent polls actually show the gap opening has the undecided see McCain’s committee rushing from one strategy to another. It gives the impression that they are talking before thinking. An example sited is the 300 billion dollar buyout of bad mortgages he proposed in the last debate. The next day they said has explained the day before on their web site was just a typo and they made a significant change. The change dealt with buying the mortgages at the current value of the homes and not for what the mortgage was written at.
It will be interesting to see what the effect will be from McCain calling Obama a decent person, family man, and American who will be a good President. I would say that it should hurt him with his base. It also leaves Palin sitting out on a limb because of some of her statements just prior to his statements.
Concerned: I’ve already gone through the “corrupting young minds” deal with JD about a week or two ago. Old news. If teaching children to read, do some math, problem solve, care for each other and their environment, then I’m guilty of corrupting young minds. I’m grateful for the opportunity.
JD, glad to hear we have something in common. Motorcycles. Nothing like it.
I did bring up Keating and not one person responded to the issue. If you want to drag skeletons out of Obama’s closet then you should be willing to drag a few out of McCain’s. McCain was one of the Keating 5. 5 Senators bought and paid for by a corrupt right wing holier than though scumbucket. Bought the right for S&L deregulation that caused billions in loses. Guess who bailed the S&L out? Yep. Taxpayers.
JD. You are so busy worrying about what Obama might do wrong once elected that you are unable or unwilling to look at the condition of our country at this moment in time. We are in sorry shape and Bush has pilfered and plunged this country into depths that will take an untold amount of time and money to pull ourselves out of. Do you not see that? As far as taxes go…please take the time to see how much money average Americans will save under Obama’s plan. It is much more than McCain. Only the truly wealthy pay more. And they should. Right wing Christians should listen to the teachings of Christ and help their fellow man. The golden rule. I learned it as a kid. And I believe it and I practice it.
Doubtingt,
Thank you for what you said. I am sorry to see that you are planning on leaving this site. Perhaps after the election everything will settle down and a more civil tone will exist. I do fear for the time from the election until sometime after inauguration. There seems to be an undertone of suppressed rage from both sides, again look at Gaucho talking about forming a militia.
While at times that I get heated, I stay on this site. If you go to a site where everyone agrees then you do not learn anything. It is like the saying about two people in the work place. If they both agree on everything, then you only one of them.
Truth be told my situation might soon change so I will be on site less often.
SSK
I believe they are non points, but if they seem important to you then of course pursue them. One thing to hold in mind what you choose to do with your early life determines some of the people you come into contact. Obama was a community organizer. Quite often you come into contact with a lot of people from both extremes, such as Church Ministers from one end and people who will have questionable qualities at the other extreme. This does not make a a Preacher or a Mobster. It does leave you open to being attacked depending on which group your opponents choose to concentrate on. If Obama had chosen to be a banker(I know considering recent events this might not be a good example) then I would be more concerned about the questionable associations.
JD
I forgot to address one of your points.
You could be correct that if elected Obama will be a one term President. But then no matter who gets elected very well could be a one term President. To get us out of the current financial mess they might have to make decisions that are very unpopular at the time. For the sake of argument let us assume that Obama gets elected at makes every correct decision concerning the economy. Any policy he implements will probably be attacked as either socialism or give away’s or to little to late or to much for to little, etc. A quick turn around would be needed to keep that from being an issue in the next election.
Bush did him a big favor by removing North Korea from the terrorist list. While Obama might have done so, there would have been a big outcry from the right. Basically the same situation has to why Nixon could have gone to China while Johnson could not have gone.
Bob: Believe me, I don’t want a site where everyone agrees with me. There is no growth in that. I would prefer a site where noone agrees me. I am not thin-skinned, don’t care about being called names, but what is the point when I express an opinion or ask for feedback, and what I get is “there is another racist ditto head”.
spp6118
If Obama is elected, there is no one more hopeful that he does what is right for this country, and that is not higher taxes and the far lefts agenda.
Yes, I have been riding motorcycles for almost 39 years, and there ain’t nuthin’ like it. Finally broke down in 05 and got a harely Ultra Classic. I had always wanted a Harley, but their reliabilty wasn’t that great until the late 90’s. When my kids were young, I had a Goldwing with a double side car, and they loved it. Did a few vacations with that rig. So I am not a couch potato that you accuse me of. Also take care of my 90 year old moms house and yard, my house and cut about 3 acres of my grass. Sometimes I wish I was couch tater.
spp6118, I don’t worry about much of anything since I came home from VN. Found out life is to friggin short to worry about things I cannot control, which isn’t a whole lot. Just work everyday, pay my bills and hope to live long enough to see grandchildren and retire.
spp6118
Got carried away talking about motorcycles, forgot about the Keating 5.
I have no problem with the McCain and Keating 5 mess. It was a democrat controlled congress and democrat lawyer that cleared him of any wrong doing, so that isn’t even a factor for me.
Bobby:
Keep researching and maybe you’ll see the light. Your explanation to date is still superficial. You’ll appreciate the results if you accept the personal responsibility of discerning something solely through hard work; not having it handed to you on a silver platter.
Good news. Journalists Max Blumenthal and David Neiwert have done an investigation into Sarah Palin’s ties to the Alaskan Independence Party. Here is a link to the report:
Meet Sarah Palin’s radical right-wing pals
Here is a summary of the report, from David Neiwert’s blog (Orcinus):
Essentially here’s what we found:
– That Gov. Palin, when a Wasilla city council member, formed an alliance with some of the more radical far-right citizens in Wasilla and vicinity, particularly members of the secessionist Alaskan Independence Party who were allied with local John Birch Society activists. These activists played an important role in her election as Wasilla mayor in 1996.
– Once mayor, one of Mrs. Palin’s first acts was to attempt to appoint one of these extremists (a man named Steve Stoll) to her own seat on the city council. This was a man with a history of disrupting city council meetings with intimidating behavior. She was blocked by a single city council member.
– Afterward, Mrs. Palin fired the city’s museum director at the behest of this faction.
– She fomented an ultimately successful effort to derail a piece of local gun-control legislation which would simply have prohibited the open carry of firearms into schools, liquor stores, libraries, courthouses and the like. The people recruited to shout this ordinance down included these same figures, notably the local AIP representative (who became the AIP’s chairman that same year).
– She remained associated politically with the local AIP/Birch faction throughout her tenure as mayor on other issues, particularly a successful effort to amend the Alaska Constitution to prohibit local governments from issuing any local gun-control ordinances.
From the Blumenthal/Neiwert Report:
At a national convention of secessionist groups in 2007, AIP vice chairman Dexter Clark announced that his party would seek to “infiltrate” the Democratic and Republican parties with candidates sympathetic to its hard-right, secessionist agenda. “You should use that tactic. You should infiltrate,” Clark told his audience of neo-Confederates, theocrats and libertarians.
…
Clark pointed to Palin’s political career as the model of a successful infiltration. “There’s a lot of talk of her moving up,” Clark said of Palin. “She was a member [of the AIP] when she was mayor of a small town, that was a nonpartisan job. But to get along and to go along she switched to the Republican Party … She is pretty well sympathetic because of her membership.”
…
She can no longer afford to kibitz with secessionists, however instrumental they may have been to her meteoric ascendancy. This does not trouble her old AIP allies. Indeed, Chryson is hopeful that Palin’s inauguration will also represent the start of a new infiltration.
Airhead, I mean Airball
At least I take a stance and research. You just ridicule. You are the best example of why the Republicans are losing.
Havde you practiced the term President of the United States Obama.
Lisa12
I might have missed it in your writings.
I saw an interview with the librarian of the town in which Palin was mayor. The librarian described herself has a life long Republican.
She said soon after becoming mayor Palin asked about the procedure to remove books from the library, she mentioned several which she (Palin) found offensive. This effort was blocked by the loud roar that the librarian sent up which rallied the community.
Palin backed off, stating that she only wanted to know in case the issue ever arose, Yeh right I believe it.
Classic example of a well-researched topic by a Demorat is the importance of a librarian over connections to a Pakistani radical, unrepentant terrorist, ACORN voter fraud, repugnant “religious” leaders, corrupt home loans, Planned Parenthood baby ridders, etc., etc., etc. If you’re in to literary topics, why don’t you find out his thesis in college?
Bob
I think there are quite a few people that haven’t heard about Obama’s past friendships. While at the Harley dealer yesterday, I spoke with 5-6 people, that were their. Told them to do some research. Some are just now getting to get info.
If I remember, you live in Florisant (sp). The last I heard about the River Road between Alton and Grafton was closed for repair do to the flooding. Would you happen to know if it is open again? Tomorrow is a holiday for me, and my wife is off. We usually take a motorcycle trip up there, to look at the colrs. Never have heard if it opened up. Thanks in advance.
JD
I do not go that way so I would not know for sure.
bY River Road are you talking about the Illinois side after you cross the Lewis and Clark Bridges?
Sorry I cannot help you.
Classical Airball, I mean Airhead research.
Do not do any research, then throw accusations around like you did research. Once someone questions his view he throws out snide remarks instead of any reasoned argument.
Airhead. Work on it I know you can form the words PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OBAMA.
Bob
Yes, the Il. side. I know there is some way to look it up on the puter, but I don’t know it. ha
Thanks

Why is EVERY last friend of Obamamessiah’s either a terrorist, racist, or anti-American nutjob? These are not people he happened to stand next to in the grocery store check-out line, Obamamessiah sought out and befriended EVERY single one of these people. Every terrorist in the world has endorsed Obamamessiah. If we had a media instead of an Obamamessiah cheering section, they’d be investigating this.

There is a lot on it so you might not be able to find what you want because of the volume.
Tim
I know some terrorist(or at least less than respectable humans) have said that they endorse Obama. Do you think anyone takes them seriously? Do you think the Americans take them serious? If I thought that they really cared who they wanted I would vote the other way. It is ridiculous to believe that they think that their endorsements help Obama. In fact you could build the argument that they endorse the person that they wish to lose. They know if McCain wins that they can count on us throwing money and life’s into the black hole of Iraq thus freeing them up to operate in other area’s.
As for friends among others you are talking about Ayers. Ayers was appointed to a committee set up by a friend of Ronald Reagan’s to work on school problems in Chicago. So the question could be asked why did Ronald Reagan associate with people who held terrorist in such high regard.
JD,
This one’s for you.

September 22, 2008 - Great River Road Reopens
The Great River Road (Illinois Route 100), between Alton and Clifton Terrace Road in Godfrey, IL reopened at 4 p.m. on Friday. The road had been shut down because of a major culvert project near Iroquois Trail road. However, the Brussels Ferry and Illinois Route 100 remain closed northeast of Grafton due to flooding.
Bob
Couldn’t find anything, so it must be open. I boomarked that site.
Thank you sir.
Lisa12
Thank you very much. Heard when they closed it, but never heard if it reopened. My wife will be happy to hear that.
Thanks
Robert, I think what I like best about your letter is that since you think guilt by association is OK and you probably voted for Bush (You did vote didn’t you?) since he is a big time liar (too many source to quote here), I guess I can now call you a liar. Makes since by your logic.
And JD, the road is open. I drove up it this afternoon. Beautiful.
See how easy it is to be civil.
Bobby, Bobby, Bobby:
I already know the answer but I’m inquiring as to whether you’ve conducted sufficient research on any topic in order to have a 1,000-page book published. Some people talk a good game; some people play a good game. When you raise your “research” standards, then you’ll be a player.
JD…the Great River Road is an awesome ride. When you retire might I suggest doing the Oregon Coast? Start at Crescent City, CA, head north on 101 and just hug the coastline. You will never see/experience anything like it.
Now, on to other things.
Check out this site for information on each candidate’s tax plan. The chart will give you info on each plan. You will see that Obama gives middle and low income people a bigger tax break. People in extreme wealth pay more. Right now the distribution of tax responsibilities burden the middle class much more than the wealthy. So, they pay more $$. Is it perfect? No. Is it equitable. No. But, his plan will do more to curtail the deficit than McCain’s.

I’m glad that we are able to find something in common JD. I now respect your opinion, even if you are wrong
I see you work hard. Family man. A patriot. I am just like you. Not a person can question our love for our country. We just see things differently. Now…I teach children. You claim I corrupt them. Understand JD that I really don’t. I don’t interject my thinking on them. I let them figure things out on their own. I work really hard at keeping my mouth shut. I try to instill in them a love for our country and a respect for all people. I place a special emphasis on respect for our veterans. I don’t really know of anything as honorable as teaching.
Palin/McCain fan
Thanks for the info. Hopefully be heading in that direction in a couple of hours.
spp6118
The best ride we have done so far is the Blue Ridge Parkway (if I got the name right) in the Smoky Mountains. Rode if for a week. Oregon Coast sounds like a good one, and going through the Rockies would be awesome.
Raising taxes on any part of society has a negative effect on our economy, even if it is the upper 5%. They will send their money offshore for investment, and stop buying goodies us little people cannot afford, thus higher unemployment. Who ever is elected, will be getting one hell of a mess, and needs to do what is right for the country, and not for re-election.

To HAirball,
You say-”I’m inquiring as to whether you’ve conducted sufficient research on any topic in order to have a 1,000-page book published.” There you go again. WHO PUBLISHED IT? HOW MANY OF ITS SOURCES HAVE BEEN FOOTNOTED, VERIFIED, AND NO LINKS TO RIGHT-WING FUNDRAISERS? Everytime I think one of you might have a point I do the research and invariably find suspect sources, outright lies or unprovable innuendo and then just to make sure check the authors for credibility of their other works. You should read Blinded by the Right by David Brock, founder of Media Matters. I have yet to find any MM fact checking to be sloppy or inaccurate. MM skewers ORightly and Limbaugh with their own words regularly. And Brock having been part of the right-wingnut spin machine knows and describes exactly how they operate in his book. That’s why the right-wing and ORightly in particular slam him every chance they get. That’s why Al Franken gets slammed by ORightly, but you see they have the evidence on tape to prove these guys are liars. The number of pages of a book has no bearing on its truthfulness, but losers like you wouldn’t know the difference.
To JD,
The trickle down effect of the wealthy spending on luxury items is very small, compared to the ripple effect of the middle-class spending on affordable goods. That’s why the Obama stimulus package is better.
Did you do the Tail of the Dragon 318 curves in 11 miles in the Great Smokies?
Airball
You have a 1000 page book published?
You know what. I have a book at home that was published in 1996. It talked about how the Pacific Rim was going to bury the United states economically in less than 2 years. One of the countries leading the charge as it explodes economically according to the author would be the Phillipines. He was wrong. I have another book that talks about the death of the Monroe Doctrine. The myth, in my opinion, was that the United States was what enforced the Monroe Doctrine when reality it was that there was not enough interest in the European countries to challenge the Monroe Doctrine. Note the French occupation of Mexico, that collapsed as the Second French Republic collapsed, note that shortly after their expulsion from Mexico the sound defeat they suffered in the Franco-Prussian War.
The bottom line is you can write all the pages you wish and get it published. But whether spoken or written in book form cr*p is still cr*p. So if you have a 1000 page book prove it is not cr*p.

I think we did, but with a sidecar it took the lean out of it, but still fun. Went back to 2 wheels in 05, before I got to old, but will go to a trike sometime in the future, if the good lord is willing, and I am still kicking. ha
I don’t remember the name of the tax, or even when it was imposed, but it was placed on items that only the rich ones could afford. If I remember correctly, it was large boats and such, and the markets started drying up and unemployment started rising. I think it was repealed (sp).
concerned
I am not getting soft. There are nuts on both sides, but seems to be a lot more on the far left. The far left is more vocal and violent.
To JD,
I remember the luxury yacht tax, I think it was repealed. Yes it caused unemployment in that industry. The big difference here is that not a lot of people work in that industry, and it was a targeted tax. If you raise taxes on the rich in general and lower taxes on the poor and middle-class they will spend the money on necessities and affordable items thus stimulating growth in those industries and lowering unemployment. As I’ve pointed out many times the ripple effect is demonstrable both ways. When industries close it affects the economy of the area. Restaurants close, home repair hardware stores close, infrastructure-roads, bridges, and schools worsen. New industries build the economy in a ripple effect. But giving more money to the already rich without attaching strings just means they will build their new industries overseas, or will sock it away in offshore banks, which hurts our economy. It’s just that simple, and it’s why we need more not less regulation.
JD and Rich Brown
First JD you talk about the violent Left, and I agree there are nuts on the left, just look at Gaucho and his claim that he has laid the foundation of a militia.
There is often a lot of talk about our Corporate taxes and how high they are compared to other countries. However, we have more corporate tax loop holes than other countries which reduces the tax. For instance, if an American company builds a factory in China, any goods it sells from that factory which are not sold in the US is not considered taxable income. So if they sold those goods in Japan then no tax is paid on the profit. That is unless they bring the profit back into the US, at which time it is taxable. Somewhere around 2002 we greatly dropped the tax rate for one year to try and get them to bring the money back to the US and most companies refused. However, that money can be used to calculate stuff like a CEO bonus, etc. We are the only G7 country that does that. So if that company was an English company then they would pay taxes on the profits eve if the money never returns to England.
Rich Brown
I have nothing against government oversight, if it is not corrupt as in Fannie and Freddie. I just have a problem with them running programs and having gazillions in cost over runs, poor management, fraud and abuse. Just look at SS, medicare and medicaid. They need to tighten their belts, just as we are doing. There also needs to be a level playing field with taxes. I just don’t agree that a small business or an individual that has scrimped, saved and busted their backside, and achieved their piece of the pie, should be punished for success.
To confused,
I watched your 5 minute video link. I noticed that in all the accusations it hurled at liberals and lefties, not one was a provable fact, and moreover, I noticed that while the McCain supporters were booed and reviled and given the finger, not one act of violence against them was recorded or even threatened, but the liberals were accused of being bullies. YOU may not have liked the reaction McCain supporters got, but at least they weren’t called terrorists or had shouts of KILL HIM on record.
In my experience with anti-Bush rallies we have never threatened violence. We ARE guilty of yelling IMPEACH HIM. We seem to favor lawful action, as opposed to your crowd of vigilantes. Try watching it yourself you hate-monger.

To JD,
I will admit there is corruption and inefficiency in every dept. of government, however certain depts, have achieved a high level of efficiency. Among those mentioned are Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The GAO and other independent agencies have audited numbers that prove just that. With these 3 agencies the corruption comes from the Doctor’s, Hospitals, HMO’s and insurance companies double and triple and falsely billing for procedures and treatments not given. This would be much more detectable in a single-payer system, or if we just funded the enforcement agencies and gave them the will to prosecute the fraud. The fraud is mainly coming from the PRIVATE SECTOR and the inability to root out the fraud is a direct result of lax oversight. Once again who has been in charge of enforcement for the last 7 and 1/2 years? Who proposed and passed the no-negotiation with drug companies drug benefit for Medicare? Most of the Keating 5 were Democrats, but that doesn’t excuse McCain. The Freddie and Fannie downfall is a failure of deregulation philosophy regardless of the political affiliation of those that adopted that philosophy, same as Keating, but who is pushing that philosophy? It started with Ronnie.

Do you remember the group that would demonstrate at soldiers funerals, claiming the soldiers were killed by God because we were not following their version of how God wants us to live? They were not just holding signs they were standing there shouting and screaming within ear shot of parents that were burying their child, who died fighting for the US.
Those were not Liberals they were Conservatives.

To concerned,
OK you suckered me into listening to the the video a second time with the volume up. I stand by my original statement. None of the marchers was threatened, called terrorists, no yells of kill him or them can be heard, nothing presented as facts in the video are verifiable let alone accurate. Maybe if you play this backwards you’ll hear “Cheney is Satan” or “McCain is a lousy lay” or “concerned is another lying republican shill”. All of which are probably true, but only the first and last accusation are verifiable.
Airhead I mean Airball
So what you say is not what you mean? So you are incapable of saying the truth? You just say what you think is fun and not what is the truth, interesting. So you have never written any 1000 pages or did any research interesting.
To HAirball,
You may be able to pull strings like a master baiter. A puppet master you are not. As for mental exercise, you need more. You’ve been crushed by every weighty thinker on these blogs. Spider webs are more substantial than your ideas.
Little Richie and Robbie (as in pint-sized brains):
You got me! I rounded off the number of pages for the tome. It was 992 (32-count pagination if you have a clue what that designates). Endorsements generally acknowledge it as the most authoritative and comprehensive volume in its field but then you probably don’t know what those words mean, either.
Airball
Yeah, sure if you believe that you wrote a book we believe you wrote a book. Oh and look there are all types of people who wish to read it, oh what a wonderful book. People just marvel at the number of pages. Shakespeare would have slunk away in humiliation that he could not have produced such a writing.
Put your head back and rest now I am sure you will come up with another book and that one will be even longer and be even more comprehensive.
Spider Webs (definition from Wikipedia) — “These tangled obstacle courses serve to disorient and knock down flying insects (including pests such as Little Richie and Robbie), making them more vulnerable to being trapped.”
Rich
Stop bothering Aiball, don’t you know that we are in presence of genius? Sit in awe of someone who wrote, when rounded up, 1000 pages. Quite now we do not want to delay any new literary works that will be proclaimed throughout the land.
And that ladies and gentlemen concludes another episode of Goofy Right-wing Bloggers providing chewing gum for the mind, and sponsored by McCain’s Five and Dime Emporium of out-dated notions as sold by the mentally clumsy. Please exit to the left and be careful not to trip over the HAirballs.
Rich Rich Rich,
By replying to Airball do you realize that you might have deprived the nation of 2 or 3 pages of his next 1000 page book which will be the most comprehensive and acclaimed in its field.
We should not delay such a genius. It..It would be unpatriotic…nay… it would be a crime against humanity if we delay by even one minute the placing of pen to paper as another 1000 page book flows from him.
I for one will not be held responsible if he replies and thus has only 999 pages in his next work.
Don’t bullets remove air from airballs?
To Bob,
I am prepared to take that risk and accept full responsibility, though history may condemn me.
I hope Little Richie and Robbie are keen on reading B.O.’s thesis if he would ever allow the university to release it. What do you want to bet that Barry Boy’s view of the world reads virtually the same as misguided Michelle’s victimhood thesis blaming “crackers” for everything? Another question posed is who was the ghost writer for the memoir/biography of E.T. (Empty Talker)? No doubt someone with connections to Ayers, Farrakhan, ACORN and/or Rev. Wrong!
Airball Airball Airball
Please Please I am begging you for humanities sake do not stop to write us. Society, not just the American Society, but Society world wide has to to have your next tomb. Do not deprive them of 1000 more pages once rounded up that will also be the most extensive of its kind. Please I beg for the sake of humanity please provide us with the next 1000 pages once rounded up.
Do not say another thing, get up now and walk..no…run to your writing desk and put pen to paper so that 1000 more pages once rounded up, can be presented to the world.
As far as authors that publish books of importance, airball, one of the greatest minds of out time created the masterpiece, one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. That book has helped spurn more reading and thought than your wonderful 1000 page bound toilet paper.
sn
Should you be saying anything negative about Airball until you have written 1000 pages, once rounded up, that has been acclaimed as the most extensive of its kind? I say NO. For some opf us might have written 100 or 200 or 300 pages, but none have written 1000 pages once rounded up.
While I have not written 1000 pages books, I have written 350 page technical specification documents on building computer applications for developers to use to build applications, still not as groundbreaking or inspiring as one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.
To Bob,
It’s hard for me to visualize a 1000 pages of the writings of HAirball on post-it note page markers, let alone 8 and 1/2 by 11 sheets. And surely not with anything as stylish as a pen, or word processor. Crayolas or the charred end of a stick maybe…….. We should place a copy in the cornerstone of the 9/11 memorial or the next time capsule to be fired into space, just so no one will mistakenly read it as anything but the fiction all his previous output has been. The cover title should be a tombstone inscribed “Here Lies HAirball Literally”.
Ah sn,
But has your writing been considered the most extensive of its kind? If you do not believe me just go back and read Airball’s postings. Proof positive that his was the most extensive of its kind. I do not even care of what kind as long has it is the most extensive.
Airball I know that I said that you should rush to put pen to paper, but come back and please defend your tomb. SN who can only round up to 400 has not seen that you can round up to 1000. His is but a technical docuement while yours is a KIND and the most extensive. I suspect a KIND is more important than technical documents
Rich Brown
We should not question someone who has written 1000 pages once rounded up. I have written several technical documents, but I have never written as airball describes it a KIND. Not only a KIND but one that has been rounded up. I have never known anyone to lie to me that has written a KIND, much less one that is the most extensive.
More debunking of the right wing blaming the financial crisis on the CRA.
Private sector loans, not Fannie or Freddie, triggered crisis
As the economy worsens and Election Day approaches, a conservative campaign that blames the global financial crisis on a government push to make housing more affordable to lower-class Americans has taken off on talk radio and e-mail….
Federal housing data reveal that the charges aren’t true, and that the private sector, not the government or government-backed companies, was behind the soaring subprime lending at the core of the crisis.
Subprime lending offered high-cost loans to the weakest borrowers during the housing boom that lasted from 2001 to 2007. Subprime lending was at its height from 2004 to 2006.
Federal Reserve Board data show that:
* More than 84 percent of the subprime mortgages in 2006 were issued by private lending institutions.
* Private firms made nearly 83 percent of the subprime loans to low- and moderate-income borrowers that year.
* Only one of the top 25 subprime lenders in 2006 was directly subject to the housing law that’s being lambasted by conservative critics.

Fact-Checking the Ayers Allegations: So Wrong, It’s “Pants on Fire” Wrong
Let’s look at a few, starting with the funder. Annenberg was a lifelong Republican and former ambassador to the United Kingdom under President Richard Nixon. His widow, Leonore, has endorsed McCain. Kurtz might just as plausibly have accused Obama and the foundation of “translating Annenberg’s conservatism into practice.”
Among the other board members who served with Obama were: Stanley Ikenberry, former president of the University of Illinois; Arnold Weber, former president of Northwestern University and assistant secretary of labor in the Nixon administration; Scott Smith, then publisher of the Chicago Tribune; venture capitalist Edward Bottum; John McCarter, president of the Field Museum; Patricia Albjerg Graham, former dean of the Harvard University Graduate School of Journalism, and a host of other mainstream folks.
“The whole idea of it being radical when it was this tie of blue-chip, white-collar, CEOs and civic leaders is just ridiculous,” said the foundation’s former development director, Marianne Philbin.
Lisa12
My information might have been incorrect, but I did enough yesterday to make sure that we were misled by those making the charges.
What I found was that Ayers did not even sit on the board with Obama. He sat on an advisory group that reported to the board. The right wing wants it to sound as if Ayers and Obama sat shoulder to shoulder but that is just not the case. In fact it is like saying that Obama and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina hold the same views because they have sat on the same committee’s at various times
To concerned, I mean confused, I mean con man,

I am being called a racist pig, stupid and a lowlife, for posting web sites showing how corrupt Obama and his friends are. Such hatred from the left.
cocnerned,
I agree that some people have gone over the line.
However, if you want hatred for beliefs that do not agree with those in power try and hold for 6 of the last 8 years that George Bush was not the greatest thing that ever happened in America. I had a manager were I was working in 2004 tell me that she did not need people working for her that did not realize how much good Bush was doing. I have been called a traitor, I have been called Un American, U have been told that I hate the troops. Why have I been told that? Because I hold views that do not agree with yours. I have been told to leave the country. So do not start screaming about the hatred from the left until you talk about the hatred on the right. I at least at times have taken people to task on the left that have gone to far.
By the way I have run into people who just post links and that is all you are doing is posting links. I researched some of the links and debunked them. The entire tirade began again because I was not suppose to question their links. I have looked at some of the links you have posted and several have come close to racist and others once researched are just out right lies. Have you researched them?
I’m “concerned” you’re wasting your time trying to convey anything with substance, satire and/or incisiveness to clueless Commies. They would rather kill the messenger or unborn baby rather than a bug, tree or any radical 1960s hippie concept that has never worked anywhere. These ACORN lovers are like pimples on a butt and should be treated accordingly. You just have to try to get to them before they faint from one of B.O.’s stench-laden speeches or before they’re transported to Farrakhan’s mother ship for a rendevous with the Messiah.
Oh my God Airball. Have you finished the next 1000 pages once rounded up? To Bob,
Thanks for your defense, but he condemns himself. Look at what the con man writes-”I am not complaining. I do not hate.” The polite way to say this is, “That turns out not to be the case, The evidence doesn’t support that conclusion.” The blunt way is to call him a liar. The following is also a post from this thread by the con man-
“You sick liberals need to understand, before you can be cured, you have to admit you have a problem, and boy do you have a problem. Handouts, un-American, ignorant, unfettered abortions, hate the armed forces. What wussies.

Your own words betray you con man. Unfortunately the betrayal carries no punishment, except for the censure of others that post to the list. And you’ll have your defenders too. The same group of cowardly liars too numerous to list that are just like you. We’ll see their names on the postings supporting you following this one. Pornography is more wholesome than your collective postings.
It’s the truth.
Rb
Your welcome. I do not believe concerned is a con man, I do believe he is concerned. However, he is willing to believe anything that supports his own view, no matter who writes the article or creates the video. I also believe that he takes things out of context. For instance, the last posting was probably the most reputable. However, at best it is mild condemnation of Obama and a stronger condemnation of Acorn though not an overwhelming one. For instance the article seems to what to condemn ACORN because it gets Federal grants. I am sure if you went back you could find many Conservative organizations that do as well, such as faith based organizations. The most condemning is ACORNS loose rules on registering voters, which is mainly because they pay for each voter registered so the people have a tendency to create false names so that they can get paid and run. I do not defend their method, but it is not something that happened when Obama came around and he cannot help who endorses him in those situations.
If McCain or Palin says something negative about Obama, ask this: Is what they said true?
It is true that Obama has associated with the terrorist Bill Ayers. He may not have set off any bombs recently, but Ayers doesn’t regret setting them. He regrets not setting MORE bombs.
Ask yourself another question: “How many terrorists do I know, even casually?” You don’t know any terrorists do you. Do you want our next president to be someone who associates with terrorists?
To David111,
Good question! How many terrorists do I know? Well if they are terrorists, and they made themselves known they wouldn’t be very good at their jobs now would they? I know several foreigners from regions where terrorists hang out. Maybe they ARE terrorists, some are avowed Muslims. I guess I should be AFRAID! Then maybe I’ll vote for McSame. He knows how to get the terrorists, he said so in an earlier debate. Hell he knows how to get Osama bin Laden, just wish he’d share that info with Bush before the election so I wouldn’t have to vote against Barack. But in answer to your question, I’m guessing maybe ten if you round up. I’ll be turning them in as I find out who they are. You got the number of Homeland Security handy? Are we still on yellow alert or are we close enough to election day to jack it up to red?
