Obama: Call on us to help. Call soon and call often
An open letter to President elect Barack Obama:
Sir,
I call on you to call on us – as soon as possible and often. We are here. We are eager. One of the reasons, maybe the prime reason, we elected you is because we want to be called on. We want to be better. We know that you can’t do it alone. We have united behind you because we believe that you can unite us. That you will call on us.
After 9/11 all we were called upon to do was shop. And look where that got us.
We don’t need specifics – but we need to hear that you will fulfill this part of the promise, that we can begin to get ready for another magnificent American effort. The kind not accomplished by politicians working in Washington, but our leaders and the people working together.
Otherwise the moment will be lost. Again.
Corinne McAfee

Oh Corinne, he’ll be calling soon enough. And like the true sheep you are, be sure and have your checkbook handy. Like a televangelist, the Messiah can do nothing without your “Support”.
Written like a loyal Comrade of the Marxist/Communist party…Hail Obama! Hail Obama! The anointed one has risen and I shall follow. Oh mighty Obama…hear my prayers.
Give me a break lady - the election is over and you can stop drinking the kool-aid.
“That one” is now officially the “chosen one”. The nation, with a loud and clear voice chose Barack Obama to be President of the United States. All true American’s will support our president and wish him the best.
Corinne McAfee, how pathetic are you that you cant do a damn thing until the government tells you too?
” We want to be better.”
Why do you suddenly want to be better now? Why not for the past 8 or 16 or 20 or 50 years? And why can only “The Chosen One” make you better.
“We know that you can’t do it alone.”
But you can start! You DONT have to stand around like a damn sheep waiting to be herded around.
“We have united behind you because we believe that you can unite us.”
HOW?
“That you will call on us.”
You better stay home by the phone, wouldnt want you to miss that call.
“We don’t need specifics ”
GOOD, because He hasnt gotten any specifics.
“that we can begin to get ready for another magnificent American effort.”
Again, what kept you from it till now?
United behind him??? Hardly. Almost half the country voted against him.
Asked to shop after 9/11?? No, you were asked to come together in a patriotic effort to fight Islamic terrorist. Instead, you bashed Bush and the military 24/7, and, like obama, Reid and Peelosi, would like nothing better than see the U.S. defeated in the mideast. It’s sad to think that people like Corinne can vote.
Corinne McAfee:
“After 9/11 all we were called upon to do was shop. And look where that got us.
We don’t need specifics – but we need to hear that you will fulfill this part of the promise, that we can begin to get ready for another magnificent American effort.”
If you’re making a comparison to the sacrifice during World War II, I lived through that and I can tell you with absolute certainty that you could have already duplicated civilian contributions any time you felt like it. Smash cans and recycle them for the war effort. Plant Victory Gardens. Put your car up on blocks and buy no gas or tires. Meatless Tuesday still works and saves money too. Ration books are available at reasonable prices from collectors if you’re not too picky about missing coupons.
That is sarcasm madam. To act like an inconvenience is a sacrifice falls under the Maximum Wuss category. My family as hundreds of thousands of others actually sacrificed in World War II, a first cousin died face down in the mud and my older brother was seriously wounded on Pacific Islands.
I own no weapons but I’m sorely tempted to acquire them and provide relief for the patriots that feel a compulsion to “sacrifice.”
Glad my number is unlisted.
Yes Barack, give us a call. Let us know how we can help with your nationwide search for your birth certificate. This reminds me of the time where OJ was searching the golf courses for Nicole’s killer.
Obama: “La la la la.. I’m president elect… La la la.. I AM a natural born citizen. I am A NATural born citizen… Rham, which sounds more convincing? Do I need a pause? OK. I, uh, am a natural BORN citizen”
I got to tell you guys. Corinne wrote one of the most amusing letters I have ever read. First I read the letter and then the comments. I’m still laughing. I’m trying to figure out where this woman and people like her were when 9-11 hit. If the people were truly behind the president then the war could have been over much sooner. If I remember correctly Obama wasnt for the war. Intersting.
More than that I love the part that “The kind not accomplished by politicians working in Washington.” Was I wrong in noticing that its the same politiicans that have always been there? I’m sure glad things are different! I must say that liberals truly are amazing.
Si,
Listen to you and all your DAMNS, pretty perturbed there, are you? Having a difficult time accepting Barack Obama will be President Obama come January? By the way, have empathy for those who you think are sheep because weren’t you guys the blind sheep for so long?
By the way, when did that change? I have noticed that most of you die heart Republican pundits are now running away from the Bush/Cheney regime instead of defending it as you ones had become so infamous for doing.
“We don’t need specifics – but we need to hear…that we can begin to get ready for another magnificent American effort” Don’t worry about that Corinne, I would not be overly concerned that Obamamessiah is going to overwhelm you with specificity. You may drown in platitudes, but a specific thought will never cross your path. By the way, effort towards what?
You sound like a lost second-grader- “we want to be called on”. If there’s something you want accomplished, put your hand down and get off your rear and do it! Since when do you need to be told what to do by the government? You’re like human Playdoh!!
What’s the old adage?…never again
Walker, get a clue. First off, if Corinne’s letter doesnt scare you then you are more scary that I thought. I am quite confident that most conservatives have been very much together. First off, Bush is not a real conservative. He spent entirely too much. He let Ted Kennedy write the No Child Left Behind Bill. Very stupid mistake on his part. Secondly, we have been behind him for the war. Iraq is a democracy and the middle east would be in much worse shape if Bush didnt take these steps. By the way, I know the press hasnt reported it but Iraq is almost mastered. Violence is way down. Funny, I havent heard that one on CNN or MSNBC.
So many of you liberals sound like Corinne. That’s what scares me. Conservatives bash their own all the time. When a Republican crosses the line I want his butt out of there. When a liberal crosses the line then you forgive and make a new line. There is no criticism on your side. There are only excuses.
So, act like children and wave your finger in our face. That’s what children do. The whiners are you guys. You have been whing the last 8 years. Most of you claim that Bush was never your President. Well Obama will be my President. I may not like it but it is my country and I want the best. Unlike you, I don’t see that happening. Unlike you, I am a positive thinker and will hope it turns out good. All I know is from his history, we will me moving towards socialism. Thats just my thoughts and I hope I am wrong.
Yes, D-, you could say I am perturbed. Perturbed about how blind people like Corninne are.
I have NO trouble accepting President Elect Obama as our next President. That is the way the system works, people vote, power is transitioned and the nation moves on. I just dont think I will like the policies of The Chosen One, job killing, business killing, tax increasing, Carter era policies. I, personally am offended by those who say “he isnt my President”. It upset me when you libtards did it for the last eight years, it upsets me when people say it now in regards to The Chosen One.
This one is too funny. I don’t think my pants will ever dry.
Super Dave
Could you call that ” Mission Accomplished ” ?
Lemmings asking, “which way to the cliff?”
Actually I admire this writer. To have the sheer courage and initiative to call on Obamamessiah to call on us with out being called on by Obamamessiah to call on him to call on us is truly refreshing after 8 years of Chimpy Hitlerstein. This is change we need! This is what Obamamessiah was thinking when he coined the phrase, “The Audacity of Hope”!
This is the spirit that made America great! This is the spirit that brought the Pilgrims to Jamestown. This is the spirit that drove Americans westward to settle those great wild unknown lands! This is the spirit that makes the Average Joe quit his job and start his own business! This is the spirit that sustained Americans when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!
“I call on you to call on us”- this will be remembered as one of the great rallying crys in American history. It ranks right up there with “Give me liberty or give me death” (Patrick henry), or “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country” (JFK), or “I want you to want me, I need you to need me” (Cheap Trick), or “All hail the Magic Conch! Club members never do anything without consulting the Magic Conch” (Spongebob Squarepants, in “Club Spongebob”).
“I call on you to call on us”- I know all Americans, myself included, will always remember where we were when we first read these sacred words. I, probably like you, was in front of a computer. I am on bended knee with bowed head asking the editors of the Post to set aside reading “Das Kapital” long enough to run this wisdom in the print edition. This way all can see it and share in the epiphany, plus I can spend $69.95 on a Framed 13×22 Matte Finish Reprint! Order in time for Christmas!
WOW, Ms. McAfee -
Your letter certainly brought the insects out from the woodwork!
Next time, perhaps, be less optimistic; they love pessimism.
These poor folks were never young and experienced the euphoria of JFK’s election.
Oh - and be sure to use the “messiah” word in your next letter; they LOVE it!
Oh - and throw a bone to Mr. Bellum and his love of the usage of the word “libtard” by inventing a way to combine a political persuasion with an unfortunate affliction as he so cruelly does.
Why would anyone give this much power to someone else? That’s the problem with liberalism. They give so much power to politicians. I really don’t get it. Actually, I guess I do. That’s what the citizens did to Hitler. Really it is. Doesnt that scare anyone.
I see the person now on her knees praising the political God! I have seen the picture somewhere…..!
superdave,
As to your earlier comment, what is sad are people who are making decisions who are incapable and cannot see complete pictures but are only capable of seeing incomplete parts of a picture at one time but even worst, not realizing that such failure brings disaster upon you as with the Iraq war which has caused more instability in the Middle East and the entire world. See even you fit into this group of people.
Also look at what has happened financially because of this war, we have NO money! Have you not noticed that GREED and DEREGULATION in the U.S. are the reasons for all our ills (country’s financial crisis)? And, the reason we can’t handle this crisis ourselves is because of the “Iraq War”. We have harmed the ENTIRE WORLD’S economy due to poor leadership! Well, these are the kind of things that happens when you are lead by the “Joe Six Packs” of the world and those who the “Joe Six Packs” feel like they would love to have a beer with. Thank God that a little more than half the people in our world can see this now.
It ain’t pretty what’s ahead and thank God above that a measured and balanced man will be leading this country through it.
When much must be accomplished for not only the citizens of America but, the world wide, it can only be accomplished under GREAT LEADERSHIP and direction.
This is what I believe that Corinne McAfee sees so wisely. Heck, the Conservatives base thinks that Sara Palin would be a great person to lead us through all that we are facing as a country on so many different fronts.
It is so time to stop this crazy divisive politics in this country. We are seriously looking at some rough times ahead and, just because we are today comfortable doesn’t mean you will be later.
D. Walker,
While I do agree that we should look forward, your look at the past is a little flawed. While you may disagree with how and why we went into Iraq, it has not caused more destabilization. Remember that Sadam initiated two wars under his rule and was threatening more. At the time we decided to finish off the Gulf War, the evidence was pointing to him having some really bad weapons. It didn’t turn out that way, but we are not worse off because of it.
Greed is bad, I agree. Government greed is really bad. You complain about the war draining us of money, but you really should look at all the other things that we wasted our money on. Remember, our military is the only government spending that is mandated by our Constitution. It is non-discretionary. When citizens face tough times, they cut back on the discretionary spending. The greedy government does not.
You say deregulation is the problem. How is that so? We had two companies run by the US government, supported heavily by the Democrats and they single-handedly destroyed our financial institutions. If the government was not involved in those companies, possibly we wouldn’t have loaned money out to people who could not pay. (Everyone is not entitled to a house)
Assuming that Barack is able to take the office in January, I agree that he will be a much better communicator than Bush. He also will probably be a very good leader. But as you saw the days after he was elected, the financial market does not like someone who is going to destroy the economy with increased taxes — that is what Barack guarantees that he will do. Taxes will go up for EVERYONE! Hopefully Barack breaks out the economics books and reads up on that.
First off you need to understand who these companies, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are and that they ARE NOT RUN BY THE GOVERNMENT and are stockholder-owned corporations that are government sponsered corporations and again, are not run by the government.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fannie_Mae
Wikipedia above gives you a very elementary and accurate understanding of who these entities are. They only guaranteed loans and it were banks that behaved irresponsible, greedy and self-serving and are the very reasons why EXTREMELY STRICT regulation is a necessity, you can never trust businesses, corporate CEO’s and boards or self interested people with much to gain, period, to do the right thing, it just isn’t in the nature of human beings naturally.
If you think that the financial markets are ruined because of Wall Street thinking that Obama is going to raise taxes, how naive and hilarious. And as far as Wall Street, they are the problem to most of this country’s ills.
And, because of the lack of strict regulation we are reaping the fruits of what the banking industry, corporate America and unqualified and incompetent leaders have sowed, and we are no where near finished reaping what they have sowed.
Think, if the Iraq war has not caused more instability in the Middle East, what then are the causes for the madness that we are seeing in Afghanistan and Pakistan?
Lastly, you say matter of factly that TAXES WILL RAISE FOR EVERYONE. My advice to you on that one is to not believe that little deceiving voice whispering lies into your ears.
” They only guaranteed loans and it were banks that behaved irresponsible, greedy and self-serving”
You forgot that banks were MANDATED by CONGRESS to make the risky loans under CRA(p). CRA(p) was signed by who?
“and are the very reasons why EXTREMELY STRICT regulation is a necessity, you can never trust businesses,”
But you can trust government? Your HIGH! Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Jamie Gorelick, Rahm Emmanuel, all government officials, all democrats, all complacent in the housing crash.
“corporate CEO’s and boards or self interested people with much to gain, period, to do the right thing, it just isn’t in the nature of human beings naturally.”
Raines, Johnson, Gorelick, Emmanuel. All CEO’s or board members of F&F. ALl complacent in accounting and housing scandals, all got the Golden Parachute. All advisors too, or politically tied to democrats and The Chosen One.
“If you think that the financial markets are ruined because of Wall Street thinking that Obama is going to raise taxes, how naive and hilarious.”
You have a different explanation for business’ being scared of an Obama administration? They saw the plans, they knew they were going to get screwed. People with money are cashing out of the market to avoid an increase in capitol gains taxes.
“And as far as Wall Street, they are the problem to most of this country’s ills.”
That, and liberalism. More liberalism than Wall Street though.
“And, because of the lack of strict regulation we are reaping the fruits of what the banking industry, corporate America and unqualified and incompetent leaders have sowed, and we are no where near finished reaping what they have sowed.”
18 times from 2001 to 2006 the Bush administration tried to reel in F&F, each time they were rebuked by democrats.
“Think, if the Iraq war has not caused more instability in the Middle East, what then are the causes for the madness that we are seeing in Afghanistan and Pakistan?”
the madness is our enemy, al-quada, being slaughtered and trying anything to stay relevant. More people were killed in Chicago than by combat in Iraq, want to abandon that as well?
“Lastly, you say matter of factly that TAXES WILL RAISE FOR EVERYONE. My advice to you on that one is to not believe that little deceiving voice whispering lies into your ears.”
You are correct, he is wrong. Taxes will only rise for those that pay taxes. The Chosen One’s “tax credit” scheme will give money back to those that pay NO NET TAXES!!!
I think Corinne’s blog proved something we already knew, lazy people won the election for Obama. The problem with liberals (notice, not Democrats)is that they claim it is always someone else who made the mess, and they want someone else to clean it up. I am sure we will see a glimmer of hope in the near future and the media will glow, but once it fails, and it will fail, they will blame someone else, expect someone else to clean up the mess. People need to look at themselves to fix their problems, and not expect someone else to. Corinne, I don’t need the government telling me how to live my life and to take care of myself and my family. If I mess up in life, I have no one else to blame but myself because of decisions I made.
With all of the recent bail outs one has to wonder if there will ever be a solution that will really work in the favor of the tax paying public. To me the most simplest of solutions will work the best. If the next stimulus for taxpayer would come on an order along these lines…every taxpayer with incomes under 1 million per year would receive 1 million dollars..the banks woud be employed again….distribution via a prepaid debit card….no welfare payments for one year, no unemployment for one year…you can activate your card thru your favorite bank… pay off your back mortgages…no court interventions…another savings..student loans paid off..restoring the student loans coffers..taxes paid to local, state and federal governments paid upon activation…back child support paid..no more debtors prisons…another savings…a minimum of 45 to 50 percent return on the governments investment in its own citizens..a quicker return than the expected return given by the banks..I would buy a new car..like a lot of people..jobs…the ederly who have given the most will be made whole after the beating they took with no recourse…this condition we are in requires maximum participation of all citizens..pay for a college education..this is only the beginning..leaders should lead the people to a better place and not just maintain status quo..

Geez….he hasn’t even been sworn in and superdumbdave and Sage the Idiot are already condemning Obama. After 8 years of Bush, you would think your eyes would be open. But no. Remember, we went to war based on a myriad of lies and half-truths. We would probably already have Osama BinLaden had we waged the war we should have waged. Instead, we invaded a country that really had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks. So, don’t preach to us “liberals” about being blind sheep. You would follow Bush to the ends of the Earth without questioning his logic (or lack of it). Take a look around you dummies. Our country is in horrible condition. We have an opportunity to move forward but you want to wallow in misery and negativity.
Sage…your comments…”I own no weapons but I’m sorely tempted to acquire them and provide relief for the patriots that feel a compulsion to “sacrifice.” I would suggest you do something about this pent-up anger. It really is frightening. Sounds like a thinly veiled threat.
The following are definitions of “liberal.” Thank God I’m a liberal.
1. favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs.
2. (often initial capital letter) noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform.
3. of, pertaining to, based on, or advocating liberalism.
4. favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, esp. as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties.
5. favoring or permitting freedom of action, esp. with respect to matters of personal belief or expression: a liberal policy toward dissident artists and writers.
6. of or pertaining to representational forms of government rather than aristocracies and monarchies.
7. free from prejudice or bigotry; tolerant: a liberal attitude toward foreigners.
8. open-minded or tolerant
So, when you use the term “Liberal” as something derogatory….I take it, and most liberals would as well, as a compliment. Obama won. Just like we knew he would. Now we are ready for change.
I’m sorry Corrine but I just can’t rally around your community organizer. The thought of someone like him standing over the tomb of the unknown is revolting.
Don’t call on me Obama.
Da-
Someone like the President of the United States ?

This is not pent-up anger it is an act of compassion for a fool that desires sacrifice. I did not suggest it, I only offered my services.

A Secret Ballot for Me, Not Thee
Last year, Democratic Senators voted for so-called “card check” legislation that would have deprived millions of employees of the right to vote secretly on whether they want to be represented by a labor union. Tomorrow many of those same Democratic Senators will insist on using a secret ballot process to determine whether Joe Lieberman will be stripped of his chairmanship of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
That same day, Republican Senators are likely to use a secret ballot to decide whether to expel convicted colleague Ted Stevens from their caucus. Later in January, the House Democratic Caucus will use a secret ballot to determine whether Michigan Rep. John Dingell keeps his chairmanship of the House Energy & Commerce Committee against a challenge from California Rep. Henry Waxman.
In other words, many legislators who value a secret ballot to preserve their own privacy and freedom from intimidation in conducting Congressional business are nonetheless prepared to support union-backed “card check” legislation to strip American workers of the same privacy and freedom. Instead, a workplace would be deemed “organized” as soon as 50%-plus-one-worker signed cards carried around by union organizers authorizing such a move.
If card-check passes, workers in company after company might soon see their workplaces dominated by the same kind of union shop arrangements that helped bring Detroit’s auto making industry to its knees — and all without workers being able to choose their fate in the privacy of a voting booth.
Funny, I wasnt making fun of Obama. I was making fun of you liberals. You guys just dont get it but then again, that’s no surprise. You bought the goods so what else can I say. Hey, he is my President the next 4 years. I will survive. From what i understand I dont have to worry about gas in my care or mortgage payments.
I am an Obama supporter, and I was a little put off by this. This person is not representative of the entire Democratic party. She is giving the impression that we are all sheep just waiting for our herder to guide us into the pen, which is not the case. Of course, those anti Obama folks take the opportunity to generalize and ASSUME that we are all that way. Some of us have common sense and realize that the change will be slow, as it takes time, but we aren’t going blindly into this, like Corinne is. I don’t consider him to the be the Messiah, or the The Great Hope, but we needed a change.
How long did it take Bush to even admit our economy was in trouble? It seems like everyone knew it but him….because he wasn’t really impacted. Those who came from money do not represent the majority of this country, and does not think about the working middle class. We need someone who has been where we are, who knows what it’s like to work for something. Sorry if us little people offend you so much.
I see Corinne McAfee’s letter as an updated version of President Kennedy’s well-known phrase, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” I am astounded at the vitriol in these postings.
Beautifully said, Corinne. One of the first things we can do is educate ourselves about the rest of the world and the problems President Obama will have to wrestle with. Read, study and try to understand the complexities of international relations. A good start is Madeleine Albright’s “Memo to the President.” Then there is the whole financial mess which could take months of reading to try to understand. And there are plenty of good books and articles about how Americans have met the challenges of the past and figured out new and innovative ways to survive. We can all pitch in starting right now with helping in our communities. Like you, I know President Obama will be an inspiring leader. President Kennedy called on us to put a man on the moon, established the Peace Corps (which, by the way, does more to prevent wars than all the hate-mongering that is so popular in our country.) He also established the President’s Council on Physical Fitness which encouraged Americans to take better care of themselves. Since Obama is really into working out and eating properly, maybe his example will rub off on us. Given that Americans have the highest rate of obesity and score lower on indicators of a healthy population than any modern country, we might all start by making healthier choices. Try to ignore the haters who criticize you. They will always be hiding behind bushes and under rocks hoping for a chance to pounce. The 56% of us who voted for Obama can work to make our country stronger, safer and healthier without arguing with guttersnipes. That’s Obama’s first lesson - ignore the mean-spirited, uniformed and racist folks among us and keep your eyes on the prize.
As I read these posts it seems to me that the Democrat’s love for America is conditional upon their party being in power.
Si,
You prove my point with your statements my belief like many, many others who think that GREATER REGULATION WAS AND IS NEEDED.
As always you make many claims as factual when your claims are not.
Under Obama there will be extreme greater transparency government and that along will help clean up the actions of our legislators much. The only way one can trust government and clean it up is if there is great transparency concerning the operation of government and Obama is the FIRST President who have gone in this direction and is one of the main reasons why I supported him and his promise to involve all citizens and listen.
He appears to be keeping his word concerning that promise and will be appointing this country’s first “Chief Technology Officer” to coordinate the government’s technology infrastructure to give us that transparency promised and to use computer technology in the oval office and other areas of this country’s serious issues.
Remember his insight in realizing that government couldn’t do it along that he would be calling on each of us to help him in his efforts? THIS IS WHAT CORRINNE IS SPEAKING ABOUT. It takes great organized efforts to accomplish GREAT THINGS, much like his campaign and anyone with eyes can see that that was a GREAT organization effort that succeeded in unimaginable ways that gave this country its first President of Black African heritage.
He accomplished this in America and got enough Americans behind him for the highest office in this nation and, due to this my very simple mind tells me that I can trust that he will accomplish great things for this country, but more importantly to me, it verifies that it was my conscience which never fails you when you listen to it. It is what my conscience told me from the very beginning in my spirit. Obama has great wisdom and is just plain smart and reeks of goodness. My hope for this country concerning its politics is that all American citizens could see that they should get behind him and support his efforts including our politicians both Democrat and Republicans.
I think the meaning of JFK’s statement has been altered to read as: “Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you.”
Most of the Obamabats want the government to take money from the poeple that are wealthy and give it to themselves. It’s called jealousy, slovenliness and selfish.
“The following are definitions of “liberal.” Thank God I’m a liberal.” SPP6118 - Nov 17.
1. favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs.
- i.e. politically reforming our government from federalist to Marxist and reform religion from diety worship to government worship, by law.
2. (often initial capital letter) noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform.
-i.e. progress politically from citizen representation to special interest representation.
3. of, pertaining to, based on, or advocating liberalism.
- to the exclusion of moderation or logic.
4. favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, esp. as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties.
- with the exception of the freedoms of gun owners, talk radio programs, Christians, non-union workers, business owners, smokers, fat folks, and property owners.
5. favoring or permitting freedom of action, esp. with respect to matters of personal belief or expression: a liberal policy toward dissident artists and writers.
- with the exception of organizations trying to exercise the freedom to associate with memberships that do not include all races, genders, sexual deviations or artists and writers not conforming to the secular progressive mindset.
6. of or pertaining to representational forms of government rather than aristocracies and monarchies.
- as long as the representation is focused on special interest groups that advance the collectivist liberal government rather than interests of private citizens.
7. free from prejudice or bigotry; tolerant: a liberal attitude toward foreigners.
- tolerant of bigotry against rednecks, conservatives, centrists, and any form of religion other than government worship. Liberal attitude for foreigners includes liberal taxpayer subsidies for free schooling, health care, legal representation, food, and shelter for any who violate immigration laws to sneak into the U.S.
8. open-minded or tolerant
- except in cases where others fail to see the evils of capitalism, patriotism, religion, morals, and the awful atrocities of the evil United States throughout its history.
SPP6118, your sanctimony about self defined liberalism is very amusing. Of course, conservatives would love to use government for their agenda, also. They just aren’t as good at it as the liberals.
