When Brito comes to St. Louis, let’s put on our best show

What could Slay do to influence Carlos Brito to retain a major presence of Anheuser-Busch-InBev in St. Louis, despite how St. Louis treated A-B’s suitor and the cost of doing his business here? He doesnt read the Post or watch TV?

Show him the dome, the ballpark or Scottrade, and drive him along grand avenue?
Talk about sporting events we might get someday, or spin-off business should Chicago land an Olympics? Forest Park in the wintertime?

Or walk him through the magnificent Kiel Opera House and share ‘date’ certain for reopening. Then, out to Forest Park to show him the greatest outdoor theater in America.

It’s rather important the Slay be very, very smart right now.
As in-very smart. Or find someone who can more effectively ’sell’
St. Louis as InBev’s North American headquarters.

And, soften up on all the ‘begging’ from the not-for-profits. Give the man time to determine which of you deliver value to the community or your constituents and which of you dont.

This is an international businessman and world traveler who will be hosting same in his North American Headquarters for years to come.

We’d better put out our very best, or what’s left of our very best.

I know people are saying the word `Brito,’ but I keep hearing `Icahn, Icahn, Icahn.’

Ed - It ain’t gonna happen, ever! Mayor slay could dance in the St. Louis streets and provide Brito with a key to the city - nothing will change his mind. Actually, Brito would close the whole St. Louis campus and move every corporate job to Belgium if it were physically possible and cost effective.

No, instead you’ll have 2500 ex Anheuser Busch employees sending out resumes and collecting unemployment checks…so much for economic development in our lovely city.
