It doesn’t get much funnier than modern politics
No need to stay up late to watch Saturday Nite Live for humor, folks–just watch politics!
Liberal Hillary Clinton, “grilled” before fellow liberal senators as only a liberal can be about her qualifications to be Secretary of State (despite being mocked by President-Elect Obama during the campaign), said we need to use all methods to enhance our relationships with other countries. Wow! Ya think? Never been done before, huh? Does she mean like her husband and his Sec of State Madeline Albright bribing North Korea with food if they’d just shut down their nuke program? That worked out well, didn’t it? They ate our food–and secretly continued their nuke program. (And by the way, where was our Clinton-era Intelligence agencies while they were doing that?)
Mr Obama’s Secretary of Treasury pick, Tim Geithner, didn’t pay his taxes from 2001 to 2004! (He just paid them before being announced as Treasury Sec.) Obama says no big deal. Geithner, who “forgot” to pay his taxes for four years, will be handling a trillion plus dollars of taxpayer money every year as Treasury Secretary. Write this down, folks–if you “forget” to pay your taxes for four years, see if you get a pass from the President and the IRS when you‘re caught.
Obama selected Carol Browner to be his “global warming czar.” Browner was a leader of a socialist group’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for “global governance” (read: Useless Nations (UN) in charge), and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change. (Bulletin: “shrink economies” means less profit, less jobs, less pay, less success, boys and girls.) She was also on the board of wacko Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection. (Anybody else notice that the climate has always changed since the Big Bang? And that its been very, very cold lately? And we puny humans didn‘t have a damn thing to do with it?)
Really funny, folks. But, unfortunately, serious as a heart beat. God help us as a trifecta of liberalism (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial) takes complete control of our government. Hello George Soros and socialism.

Dear Al,
I encourage you to keep crying. Your tears make us strong.
Sincerely,
Liberals everywhere
Al Dorn:
Pay no attention to the Pagan Liberal cranks that respond, they’re out of sorts because their God of Raincoats and Pop-top cans was savaged by the Goddess of Rectal Itch.
Let the games begin! Great points Al. I dont even have to say that if any of those circumstances if there was a Republican involved that there would be hearings from the liberals in Congress and the Press would do a “Joe the Plumber” massacre to the candidate, his family, and his friends.
The Press gave Geithner the pass of the century. Do we really have that many stupid people out there? Apparently we do!
Al, you forgot to add that Bush’s inauguration cost around $50 million and the liberals went nuts. Obama’s is already over 150 million. I havent heard one report on that from the mainstream press.
Just watch the reactions on the hypocrisy. We get childish remarks over and over. The attack on Palin is disgusting. The absolute silence on the real reasons for the mortgage crisis is criminal. I have a feeling that in 4 years the many of the American people are going to wake up. Then and only then will they see how the wool has been pulled over their eyes.
God help us in the meantime! The worst part is that the Press is supposed to be there to keep the government in check. UNfortunately they are in bed with them like never before!
Al, As bad as this all is - and it is, I think the problem is clearly deeper. It’s the culture at large that seems to want the big shift to the left and accept the curruption. I’m disgusted w/ Bushs’ (both of them) leftist moves that were tolerated, if not embraced, by the entire spectrum. We see what’s coming with “The One”, but he’s not even in yet and we’re already so far away from capitalism that it’s hard to lay blame on him - no matter what comes; the momentum is here.
While riding herd on the politicians, as you (and lots of us) do is valid, if we can’t shift our culture, it’s not going to change.
These are the same same people who said it was only a mistake for Sandy Berger to steal classified documents by stuffing them down his pants.
“According to reports from the Inspector General of the National Archives and the staff of the House of Representatives’ Government Operations Committee, Mr. Berger, while acting as former President Clinton’s designated representative to the commission investigating the attacks of September 11, 2001, illegally took confidential documents from the Archives on more than one occasion. He folded documents in his clothes, snuck them out of the Archives building, and stashed them under a construction trailer nearby until he could return, retrieve them, and later cut them up. After he was caught, he lied to the investigators and tried to shift blame to Archive employees.”

Will Rodgers said it best, “I don’t make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts.”
To add you your post James R, I totally believe that when people live by sound bites then you get a “Messiah” type candidate. The Obama people were very slick in noticing this and did a masterful job of swooning the inept voter. Instead of people taking care of themselves we now have a huge assisted care country. I find it sickening and fascinating that people who do nothing have their hands out and those that are productive are so busy that they dont and cant keep up. The educational system is a complete joke.
Howard Stern, who I am not a fan of, showed just how stupid the American public is by interviewing people who voted for Obama and had NO clue what he stood for or even who is Vice-Presidential running mate was.
I have 2 real issues and first and foremost was that the Bush Administration did an awful job of public relations. McCain was horrible as a candidate, but of course he was the media pick as was Obama. What disturbs me most is the absolute undeniable pathetic press. Never in my lifetime have I seen such sickening coverage of a candidate and his party. I guess it helps that 90% of the press vote democrat but you would think that there would be some conscience but apparently not. As you noted, all these issues with Obama’s cabinet and the press plays it like beautiful music. For the first time in my life I am scared for my family, my church and my country.
When I heard that Hillary was going to be before the Senate Foreign Relations committee, it took me back to the time when Condolerzza Rice was there and I wondered if the Democrats (especially Barbara Boxer) were going to be as mean, surly and disrespectful to Hillary as they were to Sec. Rice. I really did not want to watch the love in, so I skipped it this time.
Nothing is as funny as Palin and her igloo park Republicans. That lady caused me to split a gut, esp. since the Reps thought American women would mistake her for Gloria Steinem, or Hillary. Except maybe the continual comedy of errors as straight-arrow-God-mother-apple pie-guns Reps get outed as rainbow flag waving California dreaming boys and girls.
Let he or she amongst you without sin cast the first stone. And at least the liberals forgive each other when they prove to be less than perfect, because they don’t believe in stoning or shunning.
I’m not a fan of Hillary. Or Tim Geithner. That Obama picks an environmental activist to deal with global warming is news? In case Mr. Dorn doesn’t know it, this is an incredibly small planet. Less than three times Maine to California in diameter. No one country can, or is going to solve excess atmospheric CO2 emissions. But we’re all paying for the results. If he read beyond the headlines, one of the signs of climate change is a distruption on weather patterns– with more extremes occurring. Two days of zero weather does not a trend make, esp. in the Midwest. Climate change, like rain, falls on the just and the unjust alike. I have no idea why conservatives think they areimmune from drought, flood, famine and asthma– believe me, you are not.
Glad Al is here to set the record straight.lol Two more long days and the Bush error is over. But it’s nice to see The Clenis still gets the right-wing wack jobs exited. Al and friends, have a miserable next 4 years.
“In case Mr. Dorn doesn’t know it, this is an incredibly small planet.”
Well there ya go again miss smarty pants. If Sarah Palin can look out her back door and keep an eye on the Ruskies and I can look out my back door see the arch and that’s a long ways from my house so the world must be real big. You liberal democrats don’t know much science do you?
