Bozek violated man’s laws, not God’s

Re: St. Stan’s priest is stripped of duties.

I can’t believe what I read. Fr. Bozek is removed from the priesthood. He is pastor of St. Stanislaus attempting to conduct this parish according the theology of Vatican II Council. The Vatican says he has violated some church rules, not God’s laws. Almost at the same time Pope Benedict XVI has reversed the excommunication of four schismatic bishops, one of whom does not accept the Holocaust. All four Bishops do not accept the theology of Vatican Council II. Is Fr. Bozek worse than the Bishops? This seems to be a great contradiction, how can this be? Is there anyone who has trust in the leadership of the church?

Sometimes the political culture in any organization forgets what the goal is. The Catholic Church had no problem hiding the priests who molested but for some reason have problems with Fr. Bozek who is faithful to God over the Catholic political establishment. Sometimes politics takes over what the real goal is. I commend Fr. Bozek for standing strong for God and putting the Catholic Church second. No wonder I am not a fan of organized religion. God always comes first!

This is so very simple, and it’s amazing how weird it’s gotten. St. Stan’s and Fr. Bozek want it both ways. They want to call themselves Roman Catholic, but they don’t want to follow the rules that the Roman Catholic church puts down for them to follow.

We can talk till we’re blue in the face (and some have) as to whether those rules are good or bad, right or wrong. They are, however, the rules.

hs, the Catholic Church wanted nothing to do with St. Stan’s when it was a desolate church in a now ghetto neighborhood. The church members worked tirelessly to bring the church back from the brink of extinction. Only after it was a viable, money producing church again, did the church heirarchy express interest.

How many folks call themselves Catholic or any other religion, but have no intention of following any of the rules?

I’m a pollock that grew up not far from St. Stan’s. No I didn’t attend there but I knew the history up until this whole Bozek thing started then I stopped following it.

I could triple my income by attending my local Catholic Church and participating in the events. My moral compass won’t let me and I despise the a-holes in my field that work their church for business.

“Fr.”,

If you were really a priest you would know that Mr. Bozek knelt on the floor of the Cathedral in Springfield, MO and made a vow TO GOD his Bishop to be loyal and obedient. He broke that vow. This has nothing to do with man made laws.

Oh, and by the way, there are about a billion people that trust the leadership of the Church. The have no trouble comprehending Jesus’ words “Whoever hears you, hears me.”

Mike–

Did he hear Him when he allowed holocost deniers back into the church ? Was He heard when the church hid child molesters ?

God doen’t make errors …. men do.

Bozek was removed by men….
