U.S. politicians and appointees are pathetic

GENEVA
U.S. wants to ‘reset’ that ‘peregruzka’ button

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton presented Russian Foreign Minister Sergey V. Lavrov with a red plastic button emblazoned with the word “reset” in English and the Russian word “peregruzka.”

It was a play on Vice President Joe Biden’s call last month for the two countries to “hit the reset button” on their relationship.

But there was a problem: “Peregruzka” is the Russian word for “overcharged,” not “reset.”

Now, I have just returned from a shopping trip to a well known book store, where I found an inexpensive Russian - English dictionary, that I didn’t buy. I found the correct word for “reset”. That whole incident, in a small way, shows the state of our government and the elected and appointed officials there. This incident would have been funny, if it wasn’t so pathetic.

Amateur hour. I don’t know if the bumbling foreign policy, including the shabby treatment of the British leader, is as bad as Obama’s domestic “leadership.” Being rolled by lightweights like Pelosi and Reid reveals what an empty suit we have running the free world.

Amateurs everywhere you look. What this inexperienced, bumbling president and his rag tag administration needs is some adult supervision.

Big deal. John F. Kennedy said “I am a jelly donut” in Berlin in 1961. Didn’t exactly ruin his presidency or cause him to be hated worldwide.
Call me when this President invades another country for WMDs that weren’t there and then has absolutely no plan to deal with the occupation of the country leading to thousands of unnecessary deaths and hundreds of billions of dollars.
Oh yeah–the last President did that. The one that left office with a 25% approval rating, yet curiously has the rabid support of 90% of the posters on this “liberal rag” newspaper website. Carry on.

Neal,

Bush was such the diplomat “You are either with us or againist us”.

How about “The axis of Evil”.

I’ll take Joe Biden anyday over Smiling Dick. At least Joe has some big white teeth. I have never seen Dick Cheney’s teeth. Are they real or fake? He should be smiling now with the profits he has made from his Haliburton stock portfolio. He was a very rich man before being elected to VP, he leaves office much wealthier from the “NO-BID” contract he awarded to Haliburton. First time in the history of this Great Country a “no-bid” contract was ever awarded by our government to a Company that just happened to be run by CEO Dick Cheney until 2000. What a Crock of Crap! Lets hear you neo cons defend this!

Obama/Biden/Clinton have people skills and will repair all the damage that Bush/Cheney and their bubbling personalities created with the rest of the World and their leaders.

Debra: I think Dick Cheney is a fine, patriotic American, and I think he will be President on January 20, 2013. The messiah’s foreign policy is off to a fine start under the “smartest woman in the world.” Are you pleased with her telling China that we are no longer concerned with human rights, or her bumbling amateurish mistake in Russia, or her misunderstanding in Egypt? How about disrespecting our historical number one ally, Great Britain. Will you be proud tomorrow when he signs a bill with almost 9,000 earmarks? Transparency, change and hope.

Mr. “Ozarks” -
Oh, yeah - Mr. Cheney is the fine patriot who “had other priorities” back in the ’60s.

Lost in the Ozarks….9 out of 10 you are of the Southern Baptist persuasion. But never go to church. Why don’t you really get lost and take a nice long swim in the lake?
