Politicians: The rich get richer (and so do we)
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Congratulations to the Post-Dispatch on the good story about how people buy our politicians and
get tax credits. Our politicians sell there souls to a large benefactor and then give the benefactor
large tax breaks, Then when they need the taxes they gave away they simply raise the taxes
on us little guys. And we wonder why there is always a short fall in revenue being paid.
The politician’s motto is “the rich get richer and we get richer”

I didn’t see it mentioned of course, but isn’t this how Claire McCaskill’s husband has made his fortune? If anyone is in the know, please advise.
As I have repeated over and over. Then why does anyone want to give any politician more power? Why would anyone give a politician more control over their lives?
The last election is historic because the majority of voters told the new guys to do whatever they want and send us the bill. They took that message to the bank is now taking over more of your life than ever. They are spending your money instead of you. How does it feel to hand your life over to someone, worst of all, a politician?
Regrets?
Hi A C
from KMOV story:
McCaskill’s husband, Joseph Shepard, has built millions of dollars worth of low-income housing projects with the help of loan interest loans and tax credits from the Missouri Housing Development Commission.

low cost housing, section 8 housing and that sort of thing is very, very profitable. I believe Shepard has sold his nursing homes, but still owns part or most of the property.
