The trickle-up effect
We have all heard the news that the national debt now stands at $11 trillion . Eleven trillion dollars is such a large number that it is difficult to grasp. The national debt is the amount owed by the government, which is really every citizen of the United States of America: you and me our children and grandchildren. If we spread this throughout the population of 300 million people, it would mean that each and every one of us would receive a tax bill of $36,666.67 to pay this debt. Since the money will be borrowed to pay this debt, the $11 trillion will increase to cover the interest. Assuming a prime interest rate of 5% over one decade, $11 trillion would grow to about $18 trillion, so each and every one of us would pay $60,000 to pay this debt with interest. Over two decades, $11 trillion would grow to about $29 trillion, with a tax bill of $96,666.67 per person. This is the $11 trillion trickle-up effect.

Bill, the sheeple that worship the Kenyan don’t care that we have to pay exhorbitant taxes in the future, thay just want to make certain no one has more money than them…punish the rich, like that somehow works.
This is wealth envy at every turn and frankly, until everyone else is poor, I dont think the sheeple will be happy. I go back to the so-called education industry. When you dumb down the electorate this much, then you get sheeple, and they don’t mind going to the slaughter. When I was growing up, I really couldnt imagine people getting mad at tax cuts. So, how stupid are they?
Thanks Obeyme!
So let me get this straight.
La Raza organizing protests to support illegal aliens = Good for the country
ACORN staging protests and subverting the voter registration process = Good for the country
Various liberal groups protesting military actions in the war on terror = Good for the country
Code Pink disrupting congress and vandalising Marine Corp recruiting stations = Good for the country
People taking to the streets to defend the Constitution and runaway government spending and taxation = Unhealthy
Typical Left-wing kook fringe logic.
Bill, I really wish it were only this bad; it’s much worse. In the last year, $12.8 trillion (12.8 million x 1 million) has been locked in to various bailouts. So that doubles the problem you illustrate. I wish it were only THIS bad; it’s much worse. There’s something like another $50 trillion (50 million x 1 million) that is going to be due to S.S. & Medicare in the near future.
(You’z guy’z are buying gold, right?)
“(50 million x 1 million) that is going to be due to S.S. & Medicare in the near future.”
And that’s before cap and tax gets gets rammed through,,,,,although I really hope it won’t! What does the prez want??? Everybody to tear down their homes, slash their salaries, make all citizens even no matter what education, profession, lack of productivity??? 2010 and we start to get this country on the right track,,,with real conservatives who realize trickle up doesn’t work.
Sorry guys I’ll try not to interupt you’re little circle jerk, but I just wanted to commend all of you on the beauty of your synchronized yammer. Priceless! Carry on.
Smith, just what in the hell does “priceless!” even mean anymore in this crazy country? $10^15 may be right around the corner in “the new normal”. Glad you find humor in all of this - it will serve you well when you’re plucking worm-infested spuds from your backyard to feed your family. But on the up-side, we’ll all be millionairs.
Thanks for the comment Smith. Do you notice how they flog themselves and each other into a stupor? It is quite comical. They are disgruntled Republicans…can’t see past their own hate.
Bush and Cheney are war criminals. They need to be brought to justice.
So the country, like the Auto companies, is broke. Before they spend any more money we need a committee to approve everything, like they want to do with the Auto companies. Perhaps the US should file for bankruptcy, like the auto companies? In filing for bankruptcy they will get rid of their legacy costs, like they will do with the auto companies. Let’s start with the workers (senate and congress). They will only get what pension they can from the pension benefit guaranty corp. That’s usually about half if I’m not mistaken. They will get NO health care. What are other legacy costs?? Let’s see, foreign aid, social services, social security, medicare and medicaid ETC ETC ETC. That should bring this country back to a reasonable business plan so we can be successful again.
