Smart planning makes a big difference
In response to Bill McClellan’s column, “One Shift Can Jar a Cracked Nest Egg,” I would like to take this opportunity to share some good news, and some sincere advice.
I am among some very fortunate folks who owe a debt of gratitude to the JM Horseman Group, a money management firm that had the foresight and fortitude to pull my retirement savings out of the stock market in January, 2008, a move that significantly minimized my losses last year. So many people have been hurt during the recent market turmoil – some of my retired friends have had to go back to work – but John Horseman has proven a wonderful protector of my money.
I retired from Anheuser-Busch in 2005, after having been a bottler there for 30 years, carefully planning my retirement every step of the way. I hate to even think about what my financial situation would be today, had I not so carefully chosen an investment advisor. Because I did, I am thankful to be in a position to enjoy my retirement as planned.
Anyone can make money in an up market. The real job of a good investment manager is to protect your money in a down market. It is with this thought in mind that I encourage your readers to do their homework when selecting an investment advisor and ask themselves: what is the measure of protection the investment manager they are considering brings to the table? Make sure whoever you choose has a solid risk management strategy; the failure to do so, as we’ve seen in far too many cases, truly can make or break your future.

Good for you Ms. Morris,
However, we can all achieve good investment results, and it doesn’t require “good” planning at all! It simply requires “God” planning! Just invest in prayer, instead!
That’s right! All each of us has to do is pray feverishly to God and Jesus that our investments grow, and, as promised by the Almighty (and I hear They never lie), our prayers will be answered and our fortunes will indeed grow!
Who needs planning when armed with financial assistants like God and Jesus? Surely you have faith in Them, don’t you?

What the HELL is this moron on about. He/she thinks this is cute. Sounds a lot like hate-speech to me. Where are the p.c. police when you need them?
LOT of hate there, pray for him/her that he may be saved.
