You made an interesting point–that Sotomayor can now wear low-heeled shoes. Has anyone reported just what type of shoes she and Hillary Clinton were wearing when they injured themselves? Can a woman “hit her stride” in high-heeled shoes? Is there a post-Ann Richards era coming in which women will not have to be like Ginger Rogers, doing the same things as Fred Astaire while looking over his shoulder and wearing high heels?

Ms. Bell was clearly trying to point out that women do everything, especially dishes, better than men, all the while wearing or not wearing high heeled shoes….
