There are questions before us: Are we indifferent to the killing?
Just Bad
Today I read that George Tiller was murdered at his place of worship, a Reformation Lutheran Church. Tillers medical clinic gained immediate notoriety in 1973, because he administered late term abortions for women at an unprecedented rate. Fortified by Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton on the books Tiller was covered by the law of the land to administer abortions, for any reason, with the consent of the mother. This all occurred with the blessing of our federal government giving grants at the escalating rate of $270 million annually nationwide for the escalating 1.25 million abortions given in a the United States each year. Tiller, or his clinic, was no doubt a principal recipient of these funds.
News Services quotes President Barak Obama as shocked and outraged, and goes on to say that peoples differences in abortion, cannot be resolved with heinous acts of violence. In prior comments President Obama took the position the understanding of the truths of abortion, and the beginning of life as being above his pay grade.
From a quote from Tiller it can easily be gleaned out that he viewed abortion with the same sensitivity as slavery and prohibition. As hot as these subjects were in their time they do not share the same foundation as abortion, and those who believe they do are misinformed or lying to themselves. Sadly, the courts, pro-life, and pro-choice groups have not gone, for whatever reason, to the Bible to see what God has said in the matter of when life begins.
In Leviticus 17: 11 ‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’ Modern medical science tell us that a fetus circulatory system begins to function, bringing its own blood to it forming flesh seventeen (17) days after conception.
Though George Tiller attended a Christian church, evidently he did not know or want to recognize what God has said to mankind, in His Word. Though President Obama declares such information is above his pay grade, every believing person of the Bible has access to what God has said. Scott Roeder may not have known what God had said in this matter. He must have at least sensed that cart blanch abortions were wrong to the point of being abomination before God, and/or intolerable to him personally, to come to the point of murdering George Tiller.
The laws of our land, and of God, tell us that premeditated murder is wrong. The laws of our land, and of God, tell us that depraved indifference to killing is wrong as well. Scott Roeder found himself personally on the horns of dilemma, and premeditatedly killed George Tiller in order to stop Tillers depraved indifference to the killing of the unborn.
Edmund Burke tells us, All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. The waters have been churned to point of zero visibility. There are questions before us. Are there any good men? If there are good men will they do nothing, and let evil prevail within our government, medical facilities, and in our streets?

“This has been posted for 30 minutes and the left wing crucifixion hasn’t started yet?”
Patience James, they will respond. I had a letter published in tyhe newspaper Monday, concerning the execution of Dennis Skillicorn and since my town of residence was included and my phone number is listed, I received a response mailed to my home railing over the military service of Bush and Cheney, neither of which were even remotely hinted about in my letter. The ill informed twit didn’t seem to understand that neither of the last two Democrats elected President, Clinton or Obama served in our military with distinction either.
That was mild for a loopy. I have been harassed by repeated phone calls, received threats of violence to my family and most spewed assorted filth that would make muleskinners and Hillary Clinton blush.
One thing is certain, those who overflow with pride for their mercy and kindness will respond.
Bill… The Bible is not the word of God. It was written as a social control agent to frighten the masses into compliance because they would not have developed morals of their own accord. It was the only way society could orderly move forward, without one guy stealing another’s oxen, or sleeping with another’s wife. Another reason it was written was to create the need for a leisurely clergy class that could live off the labor of others (ref., tithing).
Now, things are different. Due to the universe of education that is available to today’s masses, people should be more able to develop moral standards on their own and abide by their consciences without the need of scare tactics. Until we finally leave this book behind (as it has long past done the job it was written to do) Occidental man will not move beyond the semi-barbaric stage he has been stuck in for so long. This book is only holding us back.
As for abortion, sorry, but the situation is the best it can be — at least at this stage of technology and so long as abortion is not used as a birth control substitute. The decision can only be made by the woman involved, aided by her moral reasoning. Do I like the fact that some men get short shrift in the decision, possibly losing a child they would otherwise have gladly raised? No. But, as I wrote, right now, the situation unfortunately can’t be any better.
There you go, guys.
I Con… Concerning Clinton: what would you go with, the military (and Vietnam War) or a Rhodes scholarship (assuming you could get one)? Now, be truthful. Clinton would have been nuts to not have become a Rhodes scholar. And anyone who says they would have chosen the war — outside of the late Pat Tillman — is likely a liar.
I get so sick and tired of people spouting religion and qouting the Bible. These mind numb robots cannot understand that the Bible is a work of fiction composed of myths, legends, and outright lies. This “Holy Book” was written to give validation to a phony, made up religion that has absolutely no basis of fact. People who follow this belief system have a relationship with what I call “The Invisivble Man in the Sky”. They cannot see him, hear him or touch him. There is a medical term for that. They are called delusional. If you cannot make a valid argument with out qouting passages from a work of fiction, do not say anything at all.
Bill, it appears that you somehow believe the terrorist killing of Dr. Tiller was justified. Is that true?
On the face of the post you are an apologist for a terroristic pre-meditated murder, the very thing that so called “pro-lifers” oppose.
As for all the sanctimonious far right wing neocon fascist corporatist Brown Shirt weblog echochambering yobbo yappers who claim to be catholic and vote for the GOP or voted for John Mccain, read the following:

Bill Corpora the writer states:
In Leviticus 17: 11 ‘For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’ Modern medical science tell us that a fetus circulatory system begins to function, bringing its own blood to it forming flesh seventeen (17) days after conception.
How people should always take care to quote Scripture/The Word of God in its appropriate context. The scripture that Bill Corpora is referring to is speaking about the life of all living ANIMALS. It is about God’s command to His people (human beings) to NOT eat meat from any animal with the blood still in it. It was so detrimental that if God’s people did such a thing they would no longer be considered His people. I wonder if Bill pay attention and not eat his steaks rare, medium rare etc… because this law I noticed was never amended under the new law (New Testament) and I have had to cease eating my beef rare or with any blood still in it.
Bill Corpora,
Furthermore, the life of mankind is in the Spirit, not the blood or flesh.
It would do you good to research and study these things from out of a sincere heart being open and willing to be guided into truth and understanding as only the Holy Spirit can do.
The King James Bible is the Word of GOD and one day very soon you will realize that Jesus Christ is real.
