They want us to be distracted
Letters
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous that in light of all the problems we as a country and a world face, we are still fiercely debating the comments of a comedian? People should really take two steps back and look at the big picture. The fact that David Letterman trashed a political figure’s unwed pregnant daughter is news? Get serious. In the age of pedophile priests, gang warfare, corrupt businessman and politicians, the collapse of the American auto industry, a broken healthcare system, and a “war on drugs” that is a complete money siphoning joke, this is what people spend time worrying about? Is it any wonder politicians don’t listen to anybody who doesn’t have a hand in their re election? We have became a distracted nation.

Political figures count on all of us becoming distracted, that’s when they do their dirtiest work. People need to start worrying about important things. Like holding politician’s feet to the fire. And why the price at the pump goes up while the price of a barrel of oil goes down. How does that work? Big oil just loves it when everybody gets distracted by nonsense. Just like a seasoned politician.
