If they pass national health care, our reps. should be covered by it, too

In a letter this past Sunday, a woman questioned whether our Representatives & Senators would pass a nationalized health care system that included a tax on insurance benefits an employee received from their employer without accepting the same condition for themselves.
Well folks, I would suggest we take this one step further.  If we are to have a government run health care system, it must also cover Congress & the President without exception.  They should be subject to the very same plan the American people are.  If the plan is not good enough for our leaders in DC, then it is clearly not good enough for the citizens who employ them.  Try suggesting THAT to your Representative & Senators and see what kind of response you get!

That will make them run! The elite only want the peasants to live under their rules. Just start with King Obama. You know, that sounds more appropriate instead of President Obama.

Remember folks, liberal elites make rules for everyone else, not themselves!

The healthcare industry is spending $1.4 million a day lobbying Congress, right now. Did the war of terror on Iraq spend that much?

We’ll see a lot of these, “If they pass national health care,” stories in weeks to come. The health insurance industry consumes over 14% of our GDP, every year. They’ll say and do anything to protect that.

IF THEY PASS NATIONAL HEALTHCARE, YOU’LL NEED CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL TO GET YOUR GALL BLADDER REMOVED!!!! AND, YOU’LL HAVE TO WAIT FIVE YEARS TO GET THE OPERATION!!! IF THEY PASS NATIONAL HEALTHCARE, ALL THE CANADIANS AND EUROPEANS WILL LEAVE!!! IF THEY PASS NATIONAL HEALTHCARE, THEY’LL CATALOGUE YOUR DNA AND MARK YOU FOR INTERNMENT IN A CONCENTRATION CAMP!!!

Michelle Bachmann could do a better job at stupid proclaimations.

Tomorrow we will work on 2 plus 2 equals 4, today we put you back on track.
$1.4 million a day for 365.2422 days equals $511,339,080 or roughly half a billion dollars a year. The war on terror cost about 4 times that much every month but Obama burps and farts thousands of times that amount every day in his flailing attempts to stimulate the economy.

So, I guess $1.4 million a day to lobby congress is about right for the healthcare industry? Sorry, I didn’t understand how the money’s spent. Every time I write a check for $966.00 a month for my health insurance, I should thank the health insurance company.

Jellio,

Can you prove Michelle Bachmann is wrong. I can’t prove one way or the other but I would rather error on the side of Michelle Bachmann. Ever lived under a nationalized health care system? I have, and it sucked.

So tell me, why shouldn’t Obama and every other federal official, both appointed, elected, and hired, union and nonunion fall under the same federal health plan as everyone else if passed?

James,

I can live with members of congress being faced with the same healthcare choices as the rest of the country. If that means that they’ll be enrolled into a national healthcare plan, then yes, they should. I also know where we can save $1.4 million a day if we do pass a national healthcare plan.

Im glad they are spending it. They are trying to do what we want them to do you Socialist fool. By the way, are you as upset by how much this buffoon of a president is spending every single day and costing you, your children, your grandchildren, and your great grandchildren? Is that ok with you?

My question is, why is Socialism look like such a good idea to you? Why do YOU think government run operations run better when they display every single day that they are the most inefficient operation going? Please dont give me your silly links to left wing sites. Tell us in your own words and please show us an industry that they have taken over that they are so efficient.

Since we are a capitalistic society, why do you want to change that? Why didn’t you just move to Cuba? I understand, according the you socialist lefties, that healh care is fantastic there. Of course people have to escape from there and do it all the time.

One million four hundred thousand dollars a day to lobby congress on behalf of the health insurance industry, that’s enough to pay for almost one thousand MRI’s a day. That’s 365 thousand MRI’s a year.

How much is $1.4 million in Viagra?
