Using half-truths to bolster an argument

Colleen Carroll Campbell would have us believe (Dissolution of bioethics council is a loss for America 7-2-09) that George W. Bush was a wonderful intellectual with no bias when he formed his Council on Bioethics.  Now that Obama has disbanded the Council whatever Obama does it will surely be biased.
 
What she doesn’t mention is that several years ago Bush removed two of the members of the Council because they disagreed with his position on stem cell research and replaced them with people who sided with him. In fact, the two people who he put on the Council at that time were part of the 10 people who gored Obama for his position on stem cell research.  So if Bush hadn’t changed the composition of the Council it is likely that only 8 of 18 instead of 10 of 18 would have been against Obama’s position.
 
Get over it Colleen.  The Republicans lost the election.  Obama can make his own Council.  He won the election.

Colleeen is a coward who won’t defend the positions in her columns. I have sent the woman detailed arguments on her ridiculous argument AGAINST gay marriage and some other mess that she wrote over a year ago about her boyfriend, George W. Bush.

Colleen-if you are reading this (doubtful),have the guts to reply to at least ONE of my e-mail comments to you-otherwise I will keep assuming that you are an unabashed Bush apologist and intellectual weakling who can’t debate someone on the facts (or lack of) in your lame arguments.

Centrist–please do us all a favor and drop that ridiculous screen name-you are no more a “centrist” than Sarah Palin is a “Christian.”

You have filled these posts for YEARS with unwavering support of the GOP and Bush on EVERY issue…and then have TRASHED every single Dem and Dem position that you can.

No wonder you defend Colleen-two idealogues who are afraid to really debate issues.

“Marxism” and “socialism” is about the government control of the means of production. The only things we’re in control of producing as a country is a bunch far right wing racist fascist ncorporatist Brown Shirt weblog echochambering yobbo yappers who have to yap “NO” about anything and everything President Obama and the Democrats do.

“NO!” is not a position or alternative, the American people rejected that in November, and will do so again in 2010 and 2012!
