We can watch catastrophe come, or we can work to save lives

The issue of Global Warming is extremely important and is a current issue that must be dealt with.
Scientist the world over have agreed on this one topic more than any other ever.

What has occured in  the past and is occuring now is  warming the earthm or climate change. What is new is the added influence of humans escalating the changes. This has been proven. The websites supporting human influence are countless. The reality of the changes are countless also. Weather conditions around the  world have changed and have caused tens of thousands of deaths in Europe and Australia. The alarm has gone off around the world in the past 10 years, while the U.S. was restricted from  much of this news and more.

We can ignore Global Warming/Climate Change and see catastrophic change continue, or we can work to save lives. Maybe this economic upheaval world wide is tied in. Could it be the wealthiest people are grabbing all the money they can because they learned money has bought them everything,  maybe they are banking on this while wanting to tell everyone else Global warming is a farce. Global Warming is real and it is escalating  and undeniable.

Undeniable? Priceless.

Global warming….possibly; but mans effect on the climate? Miniscule. Mars is warming at the same rate as Earth. Are the Martians reducing their reliance on SUV’s as well? Global warming is caused by the sun. There is very little man can do to alter the orbit of the earth or the tilt of its axis. This is the scare tactic du jour. In the 70’s the hue and cry was a new ice age was upon us. Scientists get funding for promoting these pseudo scientific conjectures. Its not popular at the moment to speak the truth: its much less dramatic and wont get the headlines.

More hogwash and hysteria from the left. When is the ice age coming, that the left said was coming in the 70’s? We are still waiting.

“When is the ice age coming”, me buy thermal underwear.

Me think science change and advance since mid 1970’s.

“Its not popular at the moment to speak the truth…”

mahatma, if you had just opened with that statement you could have save us the waste of time in reading the balance of your post.

Wasn’t global warming a little easier to trumpet when it actually was warming? This is a religion, facts don’t matter, that’s why the letter writer doesn’t bother to document his claims, or admit there is evidence on the other side. It is simply faith, belief in their big government messiahs. A cause to grasp and fight the evil right. Classic useful idiots.

Mr. Thomas,

Not trying to side track the topic but I do wonder what it is about CO2 emmisions in particular and environmental pollution in general the “the right” finds so appealing. A cleaner and healthier environment would seem to be a cause that most could get behind regardless of political affiliation.

Great idea, Smith!!! We could just store all carbon emissions in compressed air tanks, then pipe them into the homes of the conservatives that love them so much.

Smith,
Excellent point, we need to all get behind the fight against global warming. I am at the G8 right now, rioting, I am on the front lines Smith, posting from my laptop. We are fighting industrial development. I look forward to the passing of Cap and Trade. I know this will cost the average american household over $3000/year. Even though I only make $5000/yr, I am willing to donate $3000 to this cause. I get stimulus checks and food stamps, so I am OK otherwise. Conservatives will only realize the effect of Global Warming when they are dead, burned up in 2013 because we did not act today. I am buying a smart car next week. Jellio, I agree, we cannot trust anyone who spoke in the 70s, the humans were primates back then, we have evolved since then and are much smarter now, especially Bill Ayers.
