Fear, fear, fear tactics

Here we go, the Republicans are off and running yet again with their “fear, fear, fear” tactics! That’s all we’ve heard from them since 2001. So now they’re using “mob tactics”:
“If we yell loud enough and long enough, legislators won’t be able to tell people the truth.”
And the other side of that, folks, is: “If we yell loud enough and long enough, no one will notice how ignorant and self absorbed we are.” (Yes we will!)
Oh, and for all those Republicans who can read, and the seemingly intelligent, calm, well dressed woman who said she came to the rally “because I read the bill” - there is no bill yet!

Ms. Dahlberg is absolutely 100% correct–there is no bill yet. HR3200 is only the House version of a bill (HR obviously stands for House Of Representatives). The Senate has its own version of a proposal and the two are not, as yet, compatible. The two houses of congress now go into joint session for negotiation and compromise (good luck with that) and hopefully emerge with a bill that, once again, must be voted on in both houses. If both houses approve the measure and the President signs the bill, it becomes law. Didn’t you guys ever take a Civics class in high school? There is no bill yet. And you guys aren’t all that funny either.

“…there is no bill yet!” Where has your head been? Are you really that stupid? Its HR3200 and can be found at http://www.thomas.gov/ It’s been out there since the middle of July. Remember, it was supposed to be rushed through before the 1st of August? Try reading it yourself. You never know, you might find out you don’t like it either when you see what’s really in it.
Commander, Claire stated last night on KMOV, when asked if she had read ‘the bill,’ that yes, she had indeed read all 600+ pages of it. So, what was it that she read? Additionally, as a busy Senator, I doubt that she read 600 pages of anything.

HR 3200 is indeed referred to as a bill. A house version only, but still a bill!
Unlike Ginny, those of us with a functioning brain won’t “act stupidly” by blindlessly following the Audacity of Hype. “No, We Won’t!”
