Irony in coverage of celebrations

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

I find it ironic that a group of 300 Muslims celebrating would be front page news (Sat. 8/22/09), but 65,000 Christians celebrating at the arch at the Rock the River Tour requires a search through the paper. Post Dispatch - your bias is showing!

Jennifer,

Are you actually comparing Ramadan to a Christian Concert Tour?

That’s like comparing Easter to a Farakahn speech.

Welcome to the Socialist States of America. There’s no need to go to Cuba anymore. We are becoming Cuba! Too many lazy ass Americans are falling for this idiocy. They do no research and only believe what the left wing media puts out, especially the Post Dispatch who continually champion left wing ideas.

By the way, it looks like Christianity is on its way out. Are you liking this?

This is ridiculous. It’s like you’re looking for a reason to feel “persecuted”.

HotAirPundit posted Obama’s Ramadan wishes today…
It’s five minutes long:

It’s even translated into several languages.
From the White House blog:

President Obama extends his best wishes to Muslims around the world during Ramadan. (public domain)

Now, do you remember how Obama observed the National Day of Prayer?
He distanced himself from it.
The Washington Times reported:

President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the next morning.

All Mr. Obama will do for the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, is sign a proclamation honoring the day, which originated in 1952 when Congress set aside the first Thursday in May for the observance.

For the past eight years, President George W. Bush invited selected Christian and Jewish leaders to the White House East Room, where he typically would give a short speech and several leaders offered prayers…

Maybe he was serious when he said America was a Muslim nation?

Yes, you’re on to them! The Post is actually an Islamic tool!!! Brilliant! That’s why it’s printed in Arabic and has zero ads for alcohol!

Jennifer,

I find it ironic that if they are “SO BIAS” why is your letter appearing on this blog zone?

Better yet it is a conspiracy and it is all Obama’s fault! Obama is real tight with the editorial board and they put it on the front page because of his hidden agenda to make us a muslim nation.

Exposing liberal lies is easy, my id, it’s the realization that you have been led down a ruinous path that is going to be difficult. Back to your ‘black hole’, where nothing…even light…can escape.

Am I the only person who sees the ‘Irony’ of the insult and supposed slight of this letter? This is crazy.

Ramadan is the month during which The Holy Quran was revealed by god to prophet Muhammad. Muslims are to fast during the daytime for the entire month of Ramadan. They’re supposed to read the entire Quran during this time, as well. They are supposed to devote themselves entirely to Allah during this month.

Compare this to a Christian Concert Tour?

Again, it’s like comparing Christmas to a Nation of Islam rally.
