Thanks for the training funds, but we’d rather have the jobs

I have to give credit to local UAW leaders Shield and Ackerman for expressing their anger and dissappoint to Car Czar Montgomery and Senator McCaskill.  While not the biggest supporter of unions and believe that they share in the blame of Amercian car companies downfall.  It is an utter insult to this the region to assume that the Obama Administration with their number one cheerleader in tow, Senator McCaskill, is here to help with training funds, “work across silos” and “cut red tape” as expressed by Montgomery himself when they furthered billions more to Chrysler in loans, facilitated a Bankruptcy Court quickie on behalf of an Italian suitor, and watched as the car maker shifted production out of Fenton to Canada and Mexico.  I’m undoubtly proud of my Ford and question more than ever where our administration is leading us.

Sorry Tim, Some of us can already see our administration is leading us into a socialist society where the nanny state controls every aspect of you life. They will control health care from birth to death. They already control public education (public indoctrination). They will control the type of car you drive (cash for clunkers)[Who's paying the people with these high MPG clunkers so they can buy a new car? You are, but can you afford a new car?]. They will control the amount of electricity you use (the so called Smart Grid). By forcing manufactures out of this country they will control the job you have.

How many new jobs have been created by this so called stimulus? We, the tax payer, have paid trillions, so banks and car manufacturers who are filing bankruptcy wouldn’t have to file bankruptcy. The car manufactures have moved their jobs to Canada and Mexico. GM is investing billions in their Brazilian operations. Chrysler is now an Italian Company (Fiat) (where do you think they will invest their money?). Again, to our politicians, WHERE ARE THE JOBS? What part of this do you not understand?

President Obama, Senator McCaskill, and the rest of the politicians have done wonders putting people back to work, haven’t they? Not a single person in Washington is listening to us, the people. THey have had their chance, all of them regardless of party. It’s time to clean house and start over.

In my opinion we need a couple of new rules:
1. Lawyers are restricted to the Judicial Branch.
2. All laws passed must apply to all branches of government the same way they apply to us.
3. All new laws must quote the article and clause of the U.S. Constitution which authorizes that specific action without using the General Welfare clause which was never meant to be a catchall.

This is not all inclusive but it would be a good start.

If you like Union thiugs running the show, you have to love this administration. Knee caps will be broken if you don’t vote for Union representation at your place of work.

A People’s Utopia is on it’s way; there just won’t be anyone left to pay for it.

I am amazed at how much power people think that our government has in controlling where a multinational corporation can do business.

Leveling the playing field, protectionism, will level all playing fields, not just the automotive industry.

It will level all of us all right, we won’t have any jobs with protectionism. Who’s going to buy our goods when no one’s working and foreign countries punish the importation of our goods?

It will level the playing field by making everyone miserable.

It amazes me how these people have no conceptual idea how our economy works and yet they’re the ones that think they have all the answers.

That was my point, Tango. Either I didn’t express it well or you didn’t get it.

I meant that leveling all playing fields means just that, leveling all playing fields, including standard of living.

Translation,

Trying to protect our manufacturing means lowering our standard of living either by reducing the amount of goods we can consume or pricing them so high that we consume less.

That’s the effect of protectionism.

Democrats are high fiving each other and smiling behind the cameras because the auto industry is dead.

$4.00 a gallon gas which coincidently occurred with their takeover of congress, ridiculous cafe and emission standards by the unelected unaccountable socialists, in bullsh*t organization’s such as the EPA, OSHA, UAW hierarchy, et al, made and is making auto production untenable in this country.

The enviromental goofballs hated what we built. Their community organizer wants us all to drive Toyota prius’ or walk. How is that Hope and Change gonna work for ya?!!!!

All these UAW workers that have lost their jobs, should thank and bow at “Their Messiah’s” feet, and be sure to vote for any, and all democrats running in 2010 and 2012.

Hell, by that time, “The Messiah” should be controlling Ford Motor, the rest of the banking system, having people freeze to death with the Cap and Tax bill, and most of all, rationed socialized health care. The Card Check bill should make it through by then, and we all can go out and break knee caps for the Union cause.
