How long until America is Thurd World?
My fellow citizens, what is happening can’t continue. The bailout of the banks last year was wrong. It was engineered by a Treasury Sec’y whose previos job was at one of the big banks that he bailed out. Next we have the Stimulus Bill. This is nothing but Pork, Special Interests to Democrats, and Payback to those that help elect the current administration. We hear that the Stimulus is working. Only 6-16% of the money has been spent. To help States with thier unemployment costs, welfare benefits, etc. Tax cuts are stated to be $8 to $16 per week to wage earners. Of course, this little extra money is going to be taxed as income next year. And of course, Metro tried to finagle some funds so they could stave off some of the cutbacks. For a Stimulus that we just had to have right now, it couldn’t wait, how come the great portion of the spending isn’t happening until next year right before the mid term elections? That is just the tip of the iceberg.
If you think gas prices were high last summer, wait until (if) they pass the Cap and Trade Bill. And now they want to take over the Health Care Industry. To the tune of $1.6 Trillion.
Forget the Health Care Bill, the Cap and Trade, don’t spend anymore of the stimulus money. The American people and business will adjust and pull us out of the recession in thier own good time.
We have a credit crisis because the banks (on thier own) eased lending rules and people borrowed and spent more than they should have. That almost brought this Country to it’s knees.
Now, multiply that by, oh, say a TRILLION times, and how long to you think this Country can continue to stay world leader and not become a third world country? THINK ABOUT IT1

Is “thurd” a word?
FTPD:
“Is “thurd” a word?”
The “H” is silent like in “sludge pump.”
If congress were to reject the Whitehouse / Treasury’s request to raise the debt ceiling, we could starve the beast.
–Not long, if the Obama continues to have his way on appointing his ‘Czars of the Underworld’.
–From one of the most informed and clued in commentators I read daily,[not to mention a flat-out babe] Michelle Malkin…
President Obama’s payoffs to Big Labor continue.
The union bosses got not one, but two, Cabinet appointees: Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.
Former SEIU chief lobbyist and Soros-funded operative Patrick Gaspard is White House Director of Political Affairs.
SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger serves on the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
SEIU thug-in-chief Andy Stern has a seat at the table of every domestic policy initiative.
At the New York Federal Reserve, the AFL-CIO’s New York chief Dennis Hughes is now chairman, replacing Obama Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.
AFL-CIO official Naomi Walker received a midnight lobbyist waiver so she can communicate with her union buddies in her new role as Assistant Deputy Secretary of Labor.
And to cap off Labor Day weekend, Obama named union heavy Ron Bloom — who cut his teeth at the foot of John Sweeney when he headed up the SEIU — the new “manufacturing czar.”
Bloom will continue to double-dip the government coffers as the Treasury Secretary’s car czar — oh, excuse me, “senior auto adviser.”
Like so many of the Czars of the Obama Underworld, Bloom will serve in a completely superfluous position. Why does America need a “manufacturing” czar? Doesn’t the Department of Labor cover that jurisdiction already?
I have mentioned GOP Rep. Jack Kingston’s proposed bill to cut off all federally approriated funds to czar offices many times over the summer. He was ahead of the curve.
There are currently 34 co-sponsors of the bill.
Where are your congressional reps?

–I can see he is paying off those who got him elected…but to what end?
We will fulfill the requirements for being a “less developed” country by 2050. One indication of this is also one of the causes–population growth. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. population was 180 million in 1960, is 307 million today, is projected to reach 439 million by 2050.
Although this ridiculous increase is due to both fertility and immigration, the Population Reference Bureau reports that more than 50% is due to fertility.
We can’t substain a “reasonable” unemployment rate even now. Our health care “non-system” is a shambles. Our infrastructure is cracking (literally). Our politicians have made themselves an elite class by drawing salaries that exceed our median income, having premium healthcare and retirement systems, and having the power to vote raises for themselves.
It’s called politics as usual. The party in power gets to pay off supporters. Doesn’t matter which party, they all belong to the Money Party.

Easy there, Patrick, or you risk sounding alot like sour grapes. Just because your political party isn’t the one currently holding the license to steal? The demise of the U.S. did not occur in the past 9 months, it occurred over the past 10 years. Nearly every politician in Washington is bought and sold by the corporate lobbyists. Yes, it has been sad to watch, but there has been nothing partisan about it.
Strange…
Last summer Bush/Cheney made sure gas prices remained over $4.25 per gallon in order for Exxon & Co. to steal over $100 billion in profits before the oil President left office.
Now, the Republicans are acting like chiicken-little and the sky is falling because “Cap & Trade” might raise gas prices over $3 per gallon.
Right… all my little chickies, it’s the end of the world.
Why protect the environmnet when we can give Exxon CEO, Rex Tillerson a quarter of a $billion$ over 10 years?
