Smith’s apology is welcome

In response to the recent letter “Smith: Poster boy for repentance”. You accuse the Post of giving Mr. Smith a forum to express himself. Did it ever occur that other fallen politicians may not have taken the time to write a public letter aplogizing for their transgressions? I do not condone Smith’s actions, but I have yet to see a public letter or admission that, in my opinion, is anywhere as sincere as this. Just look across the river at our neighbor’s ex-Governor. He is still pontificating about his innocence, justifying his actions and he has written a book to exonerate himself and make some money.

I agree Joe!

Where was Ms. Cynthia Davis’s apology for publically stating that
“hunger is a positive motivator” ?????

She will be termed out soon as a state rep. Wonder if she will be running for a State Senate seat??? Hope those dumb people in O’Fallon wake up and quit voting for her!!!

Blago the nutcase will never admit wrong doing and is still lying recently in a interview with Chris Matthews. Maybe he could get a job with Donald Trump since he has the hair!!

Good for Jeff Smith for owning up to his mistakes and taking responsibility for his mistakes!!
