The children can handle it; they need it
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Regarding the Lindbergh school superintendent’s attempt to keep politics out of the classroom, I would propose that he’d do better to work to bring some politics in. People today seem utterly lacking in awareness, much less understanding, of government, and much less its history. This is stuff that should have at least some exposure in the schools, but it doesn’t seem to be happening.
Politics? Real world? Bring it on - the kiddies can handle it, they deserve it, and they need it. We all do..

Earl, I totally agree with you. However, here is the problem. Most teachers are not capable of teaching politics. The lefties have proven that theory to perfection. The problem with government schools is that instead of “critical thinking” it becomes indoctrination. There lies the problem.
So, I understand what Lindbergh is doing. Wait until they go to college where “Liberal Indoctrination” is down to an art. That’s where critical thinking truly disappears if any is left, and activism starts.
Mr. Birkicht–
You, sir, are right. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
Mr. Osborn (real surname: Einstein),
As a grade schooler I watched Carter get sworn in, as a middle-schooler it was Reagan. Teachers were (and are) perfectly capable of building an unbiased lesson plan around both left and wrong err, right.
It sounds to me like you are jealous of the college educated and could not become a teacher because of your lack of degreed accreditation. Frankly, I am relieved.
The utter arrogance of your post MoDuke is a PERFECT example of exactly why teachers, such as yourself, are NOT qualified to teach politics to children. Are you saying because you are “accredited” that that makes you more qualified? Pardon me while I sit down. The laughter is beyond belief.
I find that most teachers know so little about politics that it’s past embarrassing. Is the snobbery you portray just an act or is it genuine. Somehow, I would guess the latter.
We home school our daughter. Frankly after reading your post, I am relieved!
Geez UberDave,
After reading many, many, many of your posts…home schooling and your political awareness are not things I would brag about.
Oh, prove it! I forgot more than you will ever know! Next time bring some facts. If you are going to accuse then please equip yourself. Come back when you think you can handle the major leagues.
Fake News. Fake Pictures. Fake Numbers. Fake Quotes.

UberDave,
I’m always around, I don’t post much, I just try to get feel for what others are thinking. I’ve read pretty much all of your posts over the last few months and I would hardly classify You as Major League material. You are at best a copy and paste guy, very good at regurgitating the material that Rush, Hannity, and Beck feed You. Time after time You demand facts from other Dave…let Me see YOUR FACTS about your first post right here on this page.

- Where did You get Your information on teachers and their ability to teach politics?
- How did the “Lefties” prove that theory?
- How did You arrive at Your conclusion that Public schools are incapable of fostering “critical thinking”?
I could go on but I think You get the idea. See You around Dave!
Give me a break little one. I rarely copy and paste. My thoughts are original but telling you doesnt matter. You are a liberal. there is no use even discussing this with you. So, you think you are so smart and your ignorance shines front and center. I now see why you dont post. It keeps you from being embarrassed.
Im glad I flatter you though. Obviously, you are easily amused. Trying reading your own responses and your amusement will subside. I got bored reading them. If you only knew. By the way, why dont you tell us who you really are. You using the name you call me is only because you arent smart enough to hide your real identity.
Liberals are so easy!
