After the Fox

Regarding the editorial “The loser is … the public”:

I disagree, the loser is the public only if you don’t do your job. You point out that commentary is different from news, and news from entertainment, etc, and readers should realize it. That may be true, but it’s not what’s happening. Fox News and “Hate Radio” has a component of listeners that are so propagandized that they swallow everything hook, line and sinker. I’m not saying that the democrats are clean, although I think they are generally not quite so over the top as I have heard on “Hate radio”. You guys should be reporting on the same stories as Fox, including the “entertainment”. If they are accurate, more power to them; if not, they should be called on it. Usually I have to go to Politfact for objective information, I should be reading it in the Post-Dispatch.

–It’s always hysterically amusing to hear somebody who has obviously never listened with an open mind to “hate radio”, to be labeled as “propagandized” by someone who has never thought outside the “box.”

I have been listening to this ‘hate radio’, and looking at some of these propaganda sites lately to see what everyone is complaining about. What is really scary, is there are some people out there that believe some of the outright lies that I have heard. I have spoken with people that believe that Obama had the government use some top secret energy weapon from a satellite to shoot down the world trade centers, that the live video we all saw on television was a trick by the cia. Obama wasn’t even in any office at that time. I am actually glad I am in my 40s and my life is about half over, I am really worried about the uneducated fools that believe everything they hear and see in this country.

really, Are the fools that believe what you posted any different than the fools that saw Dick Cheney personally blowing up levees in NO to kill black people?

Or the countless folks that believe an idiotic President like GW could masterfully orchestrate the implosion of the WTC just so he could bomb some Middle Eastern countries to make his oil buddies more wealthy?

Or my personal favorite courtesy of Rev. Wright….That whites created the AIDS virus to kill blacks?

Or Van Jones assertion that whites are poisoning minorities?

An intelligent observer such as yourself surely knows of these little tidbits…No?

The gullibility of some people in this country is scary. I have heard that the beatles were a creation of the cia to be used as mind control on the American public. Absolute silliness.

Hate Radio? Are you referring to Air America, Rachael Maddow or Kieth Obermann? When the left moves out of their glass house then they are more than welcome to throw stones.

Any chance at all you can cite specific examples of your “over the top as I have heard on “Hate radio””? I’ll wait for you postings from Moveon.org.

Really?,

–Isn’t attempting to conflate your idea of “hate radio” with “propaganda sites” that talk about what you indicate (I read everything, and have never heard of such silliness), doing exactly what you rail against?
