Assailing Fox News for Obama difficulties in “After the Fox”(10/28) continues the specious sophistry that casts aside paying customers of your struggling enterprise.

It’s true that cable television has been a formidable foe for traditional news gathering organizations but your real competitor is not Fox, it’s the Comedy Channel’s cynical and smart alecky Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Your former subscribers get the same chosen slant on the “news” and opinion without ink stains on their fingers.

The difference between Fox Views and The Daily Show or Colbert Report is the latter 2 identify themselves as comedy and parody (the air on a channel called “Comedy Central”, for goodness sakes). Fox Views, on the other hand, people have to watch for a few minutes before they realize it is a comedy - A tragi-comedy, based on opinion, supposition, and silly extrapolations - not facts.

The fact that syphailitics like this letter writer even seriously compare the 2 really tells you something about their cognitive abilities.

Dick Cheney is going to debate Dane Cook (not really)!! Guess who’s going to be playing it up for laughs?

Michael,

–What is a syphailitic?

–If you mean syphyilitic, you are not only ignorant, you are crass and unworthy of serious consideration.

–BTW, have you ever been checked for Asperger’s Syndrome? Your inability to recognize sarcastic satire is symptomatic of the condition.

Of course they are “comedy, the letter says that. You haven’t presented a cogent denial that they are winning the contest with the Post-Dispatch.

Michael, certainly you intend to provide us with examples of what you say or are you just planning to be sued for your libel and slanderous comments?
Show me the money, pal.

Didn’t Glenn Beck do the Medias job by outing Van Jones and others? So, what ever happen to Investigative journalism? If I am not mistake most of the rest of the media now gets their checks straight from the Federal Government! I’m glad at least one news source is doing what media was supposed to be doing!

So Michael, why does it bother you so much that Van Jones was outed?

CNN better watch out. One of their investigative journalists just did a piece on all the money being thrown at America Somoa after the recent Tsunami, much of which can’t be accounted for….

I’m sure the rest of the media will go after the admin with the same vigor they did for the previous admin…..
