Retired men and women: Turn off the tube and get involved
Turnoff the TV reality shows. Go to your town hall, planning & zoning and school board meetings and get a real dose of reality!
Calling to all retired men & women. You now have the time to get involved. Not talking about the AARP either, but local individual non-partisan groups. Every time a group goes State or National, the organization becomes corrupt, as the “big boys” see the opportunity to slip in and take over. (As in the Missouri Municipal League www.momunicipalleague.blogspot.com)
The power is with the people. The retired community has the common sense thru the wisdom of life experiences. The filing dates for you to run for councilman/woman are 12/15/09 thru 1/17/10. (As well as, State Representative & State Senate).
Retired folks, do not think that for one moment that you are washed up, unproductive.
GET UP, GET OUT, GET INVOLVED.

Agreed, but with one word of caution. Somebody’s got to pay these bills eventually, and it might be your grandkid. I’m hoping enough of you were close enough to the great depression to kick some of our present-day idiots in the butt with a dose of “live within your means!”.
