The whole world was deprived

Kathryn Sherman is grateful for the abortion friendly family planning program partnership between Wash-U and Barnes-Jewish as she never met her paternal grandmother who died due to an infection from an illicit abortion in the 30’s. However, let me point out the obvious: she never met her aborted aunt or uncle either, or their spouse or the cousins she would have had. Her family and the world for that matter, was deprived of these people who were never given the opportunity to draw a breath, to live, to grow, to laugh and to cry. Well, I suspect the did get an opportunity to cry.

No One, No One with any intellect, any sense of common decency, would equate a living-breathing woman to a fetus.
This is a FALSE corollary that the pro-life groups bring up,in hopes that no one will state the obvious.
Reproductive Freedom is Legal and will remain that way, therefore it is necessary to have trained doctors.

Women who have no rights with regards to reproduction, are nothing less than a slave.

If Mr. Davidson is against abortion, I would suggest that he not have one.
Does that make any sense, well it makes more sense than to equate a woman to a fetus.

I lived through a time when friends/classmates had no place to go to obtain a safe abortion, their desperation was horrific - and the actions they took were as horrific.
Never again, will we stand by and allow others to take away these rights.,never…

Men are 50% responsible for each pregnancy, and are therefore 50% responsible for each abortion. Perhaps Mr. Davidson should discuss the efficacy of vasectomy with other male pro-lifers.

As a man, I am seriously offended by any male who proceeds to preach what a woman can or cannot do with her body. Mark, you will never be pregnant. You will never know what it’s like to face an unwanted or unintended pregnancy. You will never understand how difficult the decision is to terminate a pregnancy. Neither will I. So shut up.

For that matter, even women who try to impose their anti-choice agenda onto other women should be ashamed of themselves. You make decisions about YOUR body and YOUR life. Leave other women to do the same. But alas, it is naive to think that the anti-choice movement will ever stop holding up billboards of dismembered fetuses outside Planned Parenthoods. That’s okay, go ahead if it makes you feel better. You may be irritating people like me with your desperate antics, but you aren’t influencing the reality that ABORTION IS SAFE AND LEGAL. And thank god our country respects women enough to keep it that way.

Ever seen the photos of an aborted baby (fetus in your terms)? I challenge each of you to go here and view these pictures and tell me this was not a human life. http://www.abortiontv.com/Pics/AbortionPicturesWarning.htm. Look at an ultrasound of a baby in the womb and tell me this isn’t a human life.

Cynthia, you look at these pictures, if you dare, and then determine who has common sense. It won’t be you.

To/ James R,
I have been involved in the pro-choice movement for over 25 years.

I know the website(s) that you have a link to and I know the false propaganda that goes with these sites.
The dramatic use of the ‘Warning’ sign, and other manipulations are used to frighten people and stop them from using their own minds to know what the truth is.

An important point in this discussion, is to know that - A fetus does not feel pain until the third trimester. A while back there was a movie entitled ‘The Silent Scream’ that presented untruths about the fetus and pain. It is this continuing spewing out of misinformation that muddies the discussion.
The picture of a discarded fetus from a woman’s clinic is nothing short of an urban lie, that has been around even before I became involved.

If you are against abortion, that is your right.
It is Not Moral / Ethical,to present overt lies, but that is exactly how the anti-choice movement works, and the website you provide is a prime example.

The abortion providers / doctors give the patient all the time and information they wish. We do not want any one, ever, to have an abortion is they are not more than 100% sure, that this is the path they need to take.

Abortions will always be with us, legal or not.
I have witnessed both of these times.
And I repeat, Never Again, we we allow women to go through horrific circumstances, so that they are forced to bring an unwanted fetus to term.

I am more than available for any Real Discussion. But - I am not available when false lies are presented as fact.

A real discussion? The first line of your original post negates any possibility of a real discussion. If you don’t like the website I liked to go to another. There’s plenty of different ones.

There is of course one way to limit abortions, don’t have sex out of wedlock. You of course would never what to do that as it might infringe on your pleasure. Damn the consequences. It’s just a fetus right? You can just kill it and go have some more fun.

Tell me one thing though, if abortion is so good why do these pictures bother you so much? You discount the website but are the pictures untrue. I notice you didn’t say the pictures were false, you just complained about the warnings page. Go look at the pictures, they are the legacy of your 25 years of involvement in the pro-choice movement!

James, I’ve looked at the website you provided. Turnabout is fairplay: now you take a look at this website: http://dreamcatchersforabusedchildren.wordpress.com/ These are living, viable children who will be forever with the memory of their abuse. I’d fear greatly for my young daughters if I thought the vast majority here shared your opinion. Thankfully, you those who think like you are outnumbered by people of compassion such as Cynthia, Cecily and the West-Ender.

T0/ James R.,
I will answer your statements/questions, in their order.

*I stand by my original statement.

*Having sex outside of marriage is NOT the problem here. I do not have the stats in front of me, but a large percentage of abortions are performed on Married Women.

*Your statement about sex and pleasure, is the usual, spiteful notion, that somehow/someway women should be punished for enjoying sex. The fact that she did not have sex by herself is not of consequence.

*These pictures do not bother me in any way, Except the fact that they are UNTRUE/ fake/doctored/problematic in their origins/ and recycled.
Other than that - no problems.
Oh, and that goes for you ‘butcher shop’ websites as well.

*As to legacy - go back to the original letter for the legacy of illegal abortions. ” FORCED MOTHERHOOD SHOULD NOT BE THE PUNISHMENT FOR FAILED CONTRACEPTION OR A CONTRACEPTIVE LAPSE.”

You are part of a repressive movement that defines itself by restricting a woman’s biology to fit your narrow template.
That fact makes it impossible to have a valid and intelligent discussion.

Kathie Sherman,

I looked at you pictures but I already know about child abuse. My 14 year old step grand child was sexually abused at the age of 5 by a 16 year old bully when his biological father had custody. So don’t talk to me about child abuse. I know about it first hand. I also know it took three years to get custody away from the biological father who knew the abuse was going on but denied it to state investigators. Said his son was making it up.

Some of you say I only hold the woman responsible. Not True. When was the last time we enforced our statutory rape laws? Why doesn’t Planned Parenthood report statutory rape as required by law? Why don’t doctors and hospitals report it either?

If you really want to blame someone, blame the enablers, not the protesters.
