Some senators apparently object to helping Americans

Hypocrisy abounds! Healthcare legislation has passed the House and moves to the Senate for contemplation. But even before the Senate tackles this landmark legislation there are Democrat and Republican Senators who are badmouthing various provisions of the legislation and its projected cost. They don’t favor healthcare for Americans!

This healthcare legislation provides an opportunity for millions of now uninsured Americans to have health insurance. Too, various provisions aim to assure that Americans are not abused by health insurance companies. It will make Americans healthier and make America a better place to live for millions of its citizens.

Hypocrisy: Our elected officials have on-site medical care at the capital building, no appointment necessary. According to an ABC investigative piece recently aired on GMA, medical specialists and their equipment are routinely brought to the capital building, rather than the ill congressman visiting the doctor’s office. This service is provided to our esteemed elected officials for $500.00 annually! They too enjoy the medical services at Walter Reed Army Hospital…one of the finest hospitals in America.

Con artists, criminals who steal by gaining the confidence of their victims, risk arrest and prosecution in America. But our elected officials are con artists who suck the economic blood from Americans with virtual immunity! Once under cover of the Washington bubble, the moral compass of these economic vampires spins out of control, but always aligns with the desires of the powerful who broker their immoral deals behind closed doors.

Maybe they just don’t favor this plan of Healthcare for Americans, which I do not either. There is too much room for additional corruption, as has occurred w/ Medicare/Medicaid and the welfare system. Gov’t should stay out of it.

–Another useful-idiot equating opposition to the fed takeover of our lives with not wanting health-care for everyone. Your MSNBC handlers would be proud Michael.

–Why is it liberals who believe in “shades of gray” can’t seem to realize there is more than 2 options here? Or does that rule only come into effect when it is good for you?

I actually agree with you last paragraph Michael. However, these elected officials suck the economic blood from Americans by passing legislation like the abomination that just exited the house. They steal our money and rob our freedoms with immunity. They insult us by actually insisting they can do anything better than the free market when every attempt to do just that has resulted in utter failure. I don’t believe for a minute that one senator from either party is standing on principle here. If they are opposing this health reform horror, it is only because they are worried about being re-elected.

magnum,
Why do you constantly bring up the USPS, since it does not use any tax dollars?

http://money.cnn.com/2009/05/08/news/economy/postal_service/index.htm
Even though it’s a federal agency, the Postal Service has not received any taxpayer funding since the early 1980s, when it was phased into an independent, self-sufficient financial entity. “We’re not seeking any tax dollars,” said Postal Service spokesman David Partenheimer. “We don’t use tax dollars for our operation.”

Even the American Medical Association supports saving $170 billion in OVERPAYMENTS to PRIVATE Medicare Advantage companies!

http://www.ama-assn.org/ama1/pub/upload/mm/399/nac_mafacts.pdf
The AMA supports financial neutrality between regular Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans. The AMA concurs with MedPAC that “the Medicare program should pay the same amount, adjusting for the risk status of each beneficiary, regardless of which Medicare option a beneficiary chooses.”

Lisa

Where do you think the 3.8 billion dollars is coming from, thin air?

And “Your Messiah” ain’t gonna do diddly squat, except make the hole 10 times deeper. Get a brain.

magnum,
I would assume the USPS has a loan from one or more banks for the $3.8 billion dollars. It’s not coming from taxes. You don’t get to just make up your own facts.
