What proof do we have of this? Well, the only bill that has passed either house demands that US citizens purchase health insurance, and if they refuse, and do not pay the appropriate tax as an alternative, they can be fined and/or jailed. Even by brain dead lib standards, that would be a loss of liberty. Create debt? Even easier - 233 years of federal programs, policies, laws, and takeovers, all of which have created debt.

Craig, you do know of course that Patrick Henry denounced the republican party, called for a stronger federal govenment with unquestioned authority over the states, served in congress as a federalist and even supported John marshall in his battles with Jefferson/Madison. Liberty is not the freedom to do anything you wish, that’s anarchy.

Craig was a know-nothing in college and it’s heartening to see he hasn’t changed in the nearly thirty years since. He is a good example of the “ugly St. Louisan” never traveling, never seeking knowledge outside what the St. Louis diocese teaches. –Conservatives and moderates are for reform of the system, and understand it is needed. We are not for a govt takeover of another huge chunk of the economy, and more of our freedom, in the name of reform.
