The 21st century version of ‘Give me liberty…’
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Patriot Patrick Henry famously said, “Give me liberty, or give me death!”
Obamacare will take your liberty and give you debt.

More Patrick Henrys, less Obamas!
And what proof do you have of this? Oh, this is just your opinion, I see. Thanks to the PD for printing letters…even ones that are written in crayon and repeat Glen Beckisms.
–”Take your liberty”, yes, and then take your guns.
–The Blair Holt bill, quietly making it’s way through Congress, will do much more than simply strengthen gun regulations. It will subversively attempt to restrict guns of all types, expressly against the Constitution.
What proof do we have of this? Well, the only bill that has passed either house demands that US citizens purchase health insurance, and if they refuse, and do not pay the appropriate tax as an alternative, they can be fined and/or jailed. Even by brain dead lib standards, that would be a loss of liberty. Create debt? Even easier - 233 years of federal programs, policies, laws, and takeovers, all of which have created debt.
Craig, you do know of course that Patrick Henry denounced the republican party, called for a stronger federal govenment with unquestioned authority over the states, served in congress as a federalist and even supported John marshall in his battles with Jefferson/Madison. Liberty is not the freedom to do anything you wish, that’s anarchy.
Craig was a know-nothing in college and it’s heartening to see he hasn’t changed in the nearly thirty years since. He is a good example of the “ugly St. Louisan” never traveling, never seeking knowledge outside what the St. Louis diocese teaches. (note to egoist, you would look like less of a moron id you said More Patrick Henrys, FEWER Obamas) I pray that nothing tragic befalls any of you who are so cock-sure that health care is perfect the way it is.Is it too much to ask that the people who listen/watch the FOX news/Limbaugh gang pick up some books instead?

–I can understand your being exasperated, considering the bumbling, stumbling fool you’ve put all of your hopes in.
–What I can’t understand is your belief in the “all or nothing” mentality that you mimic from your MSNBC handlers, concerning health-care reform.
–Conservatives and moderates are for reform of the system, and understand it is needed. We are not for a govt takeover of another huge chunk of the economy, and more of our freedom, in the name of reform.
–Maybe if you turned off the MSNBC comedies and read something besides liberal dogma, you wouldn’t be so clueless as to what the mainstream of Americans think.
–BTW, in the future, if you are going to criticize someone else for their writing or literary skills, it would be wise to double and triple check your own post before submitting. You would have possibly been able to avoid the multitude of errors, as in your last post.
–Now, besides being out of touch with society, you just look like the village idiot.
exasperated - I couldn’t make sense of your post. Perhaps, you’re just at a higher level.
Ayn Rand thought enough of Patrick Henry to name a university after him in Atlas Shrugged.

knuckledragger,
–I understand, insight is rare among your species, but your prodigies may yet evolve.
