Why deal with holiday shopping crowds when you can shop from home or office?
Tim Barker
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Black Friday. Big shopping day. Crowded stores. Bumper-to-bumper traffic on the streets outside those crowded stores. If you are like me, few things sound less appealing than the idea of getting out today.

So let’s think ahead to Monday - Cyber Monday - supposedly one of the biggest days of the year for online shopping. Now that’s something I can get into - shopping from the comfort of my home or office (not that any of us would ever shop on company time).

Considering the general sorry state of our economy, it should come as no surprise that this isn’t expected to be a huge day for cyber sales.

But those of us who are scouring the Internet for Christmas gifts, deals are expected to be there.

Free shipping is virtually a given, and many are offering financing options such as no payments for 90 days and deals like $10 off purchases of $50 or more, along with traditional discounts on products.

Before you start browsing, you might want to check out cybermonday.com and bestcybermondaysales.com for lots of current deals and special offers.

Now I can’t say that I do 100 percent of my shopping online. But I’m getting very close to it. I wonder how many you manage to get through the entire holiday shopping season without ever setting foot in a store.
