Which would he pick? You or his smartphone
You may be sitting there, right now, wondering why he hasn’t sent that lovely bouquet of roses you were expecting for Valentine’s Day.
Now, I don’t want to be the one who rains on any romantic parades, but I think it might be fun to offer a little perspective. I’m looking at a survey done last month on behalf of Energizer. They asked a bunch of guys, aged 24-35, a series of questions about their phones. Included, was this little zinger:
Which would you rather give up: your significant other or smart phone?
The response?
- A) Smart phone: 56%
- B) Significant other: 14%
- C) I’ll have to think about that one: 30%
Now, I’m no expert on matters of the heart. But if you answered “I’ll have to think about that one,” you’ve probably already answered the question. So, I’m going to toss all those undecideds into the camp of guys who choose a phone over their romantic partner.
Maybe it’s time to forget about those flowers that may or may not show up. Next time you see him, grab his phone and force him to make the tough choice.

Based on what I have seen, females are much more dependent on their phones than males.
