Here’s an iPhone app for those times when you really have to go
Tim Barker

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, here’s an iPhone app that could be perfect for you party-goers worried about being able to find a place for some relief.

The have2p app can be your guide and savior whenever nature calls. Using the phone’s GPS locator, it will help you locate public restrooms in your area, and will help you figure out which one might be right for you.

Among its features:

  • Automatically detects your current location to find restrooms in the local area.
  • Scan helpful tips noted by others, like whether the restroom is for patrons only, if it has a changing table, and how clean it is.
  • An urgency detector senses when you (and the phone) are shaking and starts a fresh search for nearby restrooms.
  • Use restroom ratings for when you actually have a choice.
  • See restrooms on a map.

I have to say, this is one of those times I find myself almost wishing I had an iPhone. I do love my Blackberry Curve. (At least, I love it when the keyboard is actually working, but that’s a story for another time). But when i see fun iPhone apps like this one, it does make me think. But then again, maybe I’m just not looking hard enough for interesting Blackberry apps.
