Big day in Megan Meier cyber-bullying case
Today we should learn of the fate of Lori Drew, the woman convicted in the 2006 cyber-bullying of Megan Meier, of Dardenne Prairie, who committed suicide.
Late last year, a California jury found Drew guilty of three misdemeanors for illegally accessing protected MySpace computers. The jurors deadlocked on a more serous felony conspiracy count.
Lots of different ways this could go. The defense is seeking to have the verdicts overturned. It’s also asking the court for probation, without a fine. The prosecution is pushing for three years in prison.
For those who don’t remember, this was the case where teenager Meier was initially befriended, and later tormented, by a fictional MySpace boy who officials say was created by Drew and others.

I think Lori Drew should go to jail….because if you really look at it…she was the cause of someone dying….if it wasnt for Lori Drew, Megan would still be here with us today…so I think she should go to jail for the rest of her life
I had forgotten about this case until today-my blood is boiling!! If there is any justice, the judge will sentence that house frau to some substantial jail time!!
