SCOTTRADE CENTER — T.J. Oshie skated briefly before practice but didn’t skate with the team and won’t play tonight. It’s a release of the scar tissue from his high ankle sprain, which apparently is an expected and commonplace occurence after an injury of that type. Andy Murray wasn’t sure if he would go on the road trip, though I suspect he will.

Dan Hinote is going on the road trip and Murray said he could play on the three-game West Coast trip that starts Wednesday in Anaheim.

Manny Legace will start in goal tonight. Murray reiterated that Legace is still the No. 1 goalie and coming off a day off, your No. 1 goalie gets the nod.

The Blues have only 13 forwards on the roster, so with Oshie out, everyone else plays. Mike Weaver is the odd-man out on the blue line.

The yellow hard hat, symbolic of hard-nosed play over a five-game segment, has been passed on from goalie Chris Mason to winger Brad Boyes. I don’t have the numbers for his past five games in front of me, but in his past eight he has five goals and five assists. He had three assists on Saturday against Phoenix.
