Good news for the St. Louis Blues
They’re finally out of Atlanta. The team got home around 3 p.m. Monday. But after practice, they were back on a plane to Minnesota.
That’s the good news.
The REAL good news is that forward T.J. Oshie was on that plane. Oshie has missed 12 games with a high-ankle sprain, but resumed skating last week. He will NOT play in Minnesota, but Blues coach Andy Murray felt Oshie would be served well to be around the team. They’re calling his status day-to-day and there’s a chance (albeit a small chance) that he could play this weekend.
“I think he’s getting closer,” Murray said. “He’s not going to play (Wednesday), but he’s going on the road trip with us, be around the team and practice (Wednesday). I think he needs to be in these team practices and sitting in on meetings, knowing what we’re talking about.”
Oshie was excited to go on the trip.
“Oh yeah, I’ve been away from all the team bonding,” he said. ”So it’s going to be nice to get out there and have some fun on the road. I think a lot has changed since 12 games since I’ve been out. I’ve got to get in there and get my head back into it. I really hope soon. It’s feeling good.”

Paul Kariya (hip) remains out of the lineup, but Murray said that Kariya worked out Tuesday for the first time in quite a while, which should be a good sign.
“He came in for his workout and got some treatment,” Murray said Tuesday. “He’s not on the ice yet, but he was back working out today.”
