Detroit Red Wings star Marian Hossa leaves game on a stretcher
Detroit’s Marian Hossa went head-first into the corner of the rink and was forced to leave the game on a stretcher about 5 minutes into Tuesday’s game between the Red Wings and Blues.
Blues defenseman Roman Polak, skating behind Hossa, extended his arms and gave Hossa a shove, but it was not a dirty play. Polak did, however, receive a two-minute penalty for roughing.
Hossa went to a local hospital as a precaution, but reportedly was conscious and looking OK.

Hossa should have gotten 2 minutes for diving and another 2 minutes for delay of game.
