The eight-man defensive carousel will put Mike Weaver and Darryl Sydor in the press box tonight. Sydor will be a healthy scratch for the third time in five games, but this will be Weaver’s first healthy scratch of the season.

Decision Coming Soon on Pietrangelo

The Blues are currently carrying eight defenseman, while two more defenseman at Peoria - Tyson Strachan and Jonas Junland (six goals and 16 points in 16 games) - potentially could be considered for playing time. In the middle of that crowd is…

Kariya talks about not being on the Blues’ power play

It’s been three games since Paul Kariya was taken off the Blues’ power-play unit.

In those three games, the Blues were 0-4, 1-4 and 2-7 with the man-advantage. Combined that’s 3-15 (20 percent), which is much better than the unit had been…

Barret Jackman suffered a sprained ankle in Thursday’s 4-2 loss to Atlanta and was placed on the injured-reserve list today. He will miss a minimum of seven days, per IR rules, and right now the Blues are calling the injury ”week to week.”

St. Louis Blues get their kicks before first practice in Sweden

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - It’s a common scene in many NHL arenas these days: players in a circle juggling a soccer ball before a game to loosen up.

The Blues are one of a few teams in the league that haven’t copied the pregame ritual the last few years,…

Blues’ Alex Pietrangelo “lacks seniority” when it comes to locker assignments

Now that the Blues have trimmed their roster to 30 players, they’ve condensed the team into one locker room at their St. Louis Mills practice facility.

In a locker room suited for 23 players, you can imagine the quarters are cramped.…

Andy Murray breaks down the Blues’ defensive decisions

I wrote on Twitter last night that, after a conversation with Blues President John Davidson, I could see a case building for Darryl Sydor and Alex Pietrangelo to make the roster.

While I am not diminishing the chances of Tyson Strachan or Jonas Junland making…
