Jobless rate rises for 12th straight month
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
The unemployment rate for metro St. Louis rose to 5.3 percent in April from 4.6 percent a year earlier, marking the 12th straight month of rising unemployment here. That equates to 10,300 additional St. Louisans seeking work, acccording to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ table.
