Eagle takes wing in new A-B InBev logo

When it announced its plan to buy Anheuser-Busch, InBev pledged to keep the Clydesdales and other important A-B symbols. Today’s news release on the completion of the merger makes clear that the Anheuser-Busch eagle is here to stay, too. In fact, it’s been incorporated into the new parent-company insignia. As logos go, the new one is not bad, but this eagle appears to be flying away, which makes one wonder where it’s going. I have a feeling St. Louisans will remain nostalgic for the old A-and-Eagle, with its fiercer-looking bird.

NO NO NO! TERRIBLE!
I know that this is a European company now, and I am glad they are keeping the eagle, but this is a bad logo design. Where is the eagle going??? Why didn’t InBev get the AB marketing group on this assignment? They would have made it look amazing.

Who approved this logo? That is what I want to know. Who saw this and said “Yep, that’s the one” and why do they still have a job?

It looks like an Airline Logo. Not a traditional Brewer’s logo. Its lame at best.

The reason the eagle looks so wimpy is because its the So American eagle.

The new logo is downright awful. This whole situation makes me want to cry. I lived in St Louis my entire life until i joined the military 3 years ago. I’m afraid that when I go back home to visit, everything I remember and love about St Louis will be destroyed.

This must be a joke. A beautiful classic logo turned to junk. Who designed this, someone at Kinko’s?

The old logo had history, tradition, and was widely recognized. This new one is weak and doesn’t convey anthing to do with Budweiser. Add me to the list of those that hate it.

The new symbol looks terrible. It looks like a dove rather than an Eagle.
