Job losses accelerate in St. Louis
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Metro St. Louis lost 9,000 jobs between May 2007 and May 2008, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It’s the third straight month that St. Louis has posted a negative number, and it’s our biggest year-over-year decline in more than four years. The shrinkage amounts to 0.6 percent of the jobs in the metropolitan area.
