The Post-Dispatch analysis included five years of traffic stop data which more than 700 law enforcement agencies are required to file with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. In the boom days from 2003 to 2006, home prices climbed in every corner of the city. People bought houses, in some cases with loans they couldn’t afford. But homeownership grew, and neighborhoods bloomed. Then the bubble burst, and many parts of St. Louis got hurt.
