Just got a very interesting note from the PR person for Brad Lobdell, who intends to open a bar called the International Tap House at the corner of Edison and Long roads in the Chesterfield Valley by the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.

Some tidbits about the place:

  • Serves no food, but patrons can order from three other menus from nearby restaurants.
  • Serves every beer in its proper glass (flute, tulip, pint, mug, pilsner, etc.)
  • Non-smoking.
  • Drink-in or carryout.
  • 40 of the 500 beers are on draught.
  • The place will go by iTap for short.
  • More as I learn it.

How about brewing your own Brad? I would be more than happy to help you craft some of your own beers. Surely you could find some room there for a little 7 barrel system? :)

Brewing our own beer? I don’t think we have enough space in our 2400 sqft for that!

Thanks to those on here who have expressed an interest in our place. Keep us in mind come early february when we open.

    Matt,

The Mich Golden isn’t available in Missouri so we won’t carry it.

If you want to stay in the loop as to our opening date send us an emai: beer@internationaltaphouse.com

    Cheers!

Sorry, this place only “kind of” appeals to me, because of no food. If you want my business, with so many choices, you need to be compelling. So I’ll check you out, but I feel your concept is really flawed. When I was 21 I might not have cared. Now I do. I need the food element. Or there had better be a lot of “talent” there, and some big screens to watch the game. :-)) Otherwise you do sound like a store, so like a wine shop, you had better have the glasses to be purchased, and the beer analog of a sommellier on-site to help me choose a new adventure.

What this town needs is a YardHouse. Ever been to one of those? A.W.E.S.O.M.E - 130 beers on tap, and a mix of food rivaling PF Changs and CPK, plus some bar food fare. I’m all for your entrepreneurial ambition, but I feel you’ve got it all wrong, unless you really mean to be a “store”.

Dreamski, this is a beer specialty store, not a asian fusion/hooters meat market. If it’s such a big problem, eat before you go!

I can’t wait for this place to open! Hopefully there’s some Founders, Bells!

We actually will serve food, we just won’t have a kitchen. We have a established partnerships with Foodies, Surf Dogs and East Coast Pizza. We will have their menus, you place your order with us and it will be delivered to your table.

We are first and foremost a bar. We will have 7 Flat screens with ample seating throughout. We’ll also have live acoustic acts performing on the weekends so our primary focus is ‘in house enjoyment’. However, since we have such a large selection of beer we thought (I think more than anyone else in Chesterfield) it only made sense to make it available to go.

Our staff is/will be well trained and will be able to help you find your new favorite beer.

Here’s to changing your mind come early February…brad

Flying Saucer is a better concept: Two hundred beers, 76 of them draft, and good food. Also a killer loyalty program. KCMO’s got one, Memphis two.

There is a God, but why the Valley? That area blows

It is about that the valley got a drinking bar, Fox n hound has many beers, but they are mostly AB rice brewed crap and the music is intended for 17 year old girls.

A few inquires about the selection:Any magic hat, stone brewery, avery, or czechvar?
