What is more important, family or hot delicious barbeque? I am serious about that. Your family is there 24/7. When you are born and when you die, there is family. You cannot say that about barbeque. BBQ is awesome day and night and that includes July 4. If you are a BBQ chef you have a responsibility to cook BBQ on the Fourth of July. Fireworks employees have families too, you think they are going to take the day off and just blow off firecrackers in October or something? If your job is cooking Q, shooting off fireworks or serving beer you need to work on July 4th and the day before also. Oooooh, it is the fourth of July and I want to be with my family, the barbeque can wait, that is BALONEY. Cook the BBQ like you promised!!!!
