Local barbecuers invited to compete at Old Rock House

If you think your barbecue is competition-quality, you have until June 25 to enter the 2009 Gateway City Barbecue Contest, which will be held July 3-4 at the Old Rock House, 1200 South Seventh Street just south of downtown. Categories include ribs, pork shoulder, pork steak and people’s choice, with $300 category prizes and a $500 grand champion’s prize.
Entry fee is $50 per category or $100 for all four categories; an entry form can be found here.
