Sammy Scott’s to open in Creve Coeur next month
P-D Restaurant Critic and Food Writer
Work has been going on feverishly, so watch for a November opening of Sammy Scott’s, a new soup and sandwich place in the Schnucks Bellerive center with lead partner David Miller, grandson of Lester Miller of Lester’s fame (and, in business, of several multimillion-dollar successes).
The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. As with Lester’s, plans are to slowly expand and perhaps to franchise.

Joe Bonwich has been the restaurant critic for the Post-Dispatch since 2002 and has covered the local food scene for various publications for more than 25 years. He does his best to maintain his anonymity so that he isn't recognized in restaurants (which is why his picture looks like it does).
A friend and I got food there for a “sneak preview” that they were hosting and neither of us were very impressed. It was priced kind of high and it just really didn’t taste good.
