Snow day! Are you scrambling for child care?

Aisha covered education and breaking news for nearly ten years before joining the Lifestyle staff where she writes a "Dirty Laundry" parenting column. She is the home and family editor and wastes too much time on Facebook and political blogs. 
I have been watching this space to see what other parents do. I wanted some ideas.
My son will be starting school in the fall, and I’m not sure what I’d do on snow days. If the weather was that bad, I doubt I could get family or friends to come sit with him while I go to work.
I’d really love to know what others do in these cases.
