When a ‘good child’ goes bad…really bad

This story in today’s Post-Dispatch reveal a plot by an allegedly “good kid” to kill his parents. The high schooler’s parents are understandably distraught that their son allegedly gave $260 and three guns to hit men to kill his parents.
Authorities say the son was upset about how strict his parents are and wanted to inherit their money.
Is this an isolated case or a symptom of a larger problem in our society?
