Will the show go on?

ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

Heartbreak in St. Charles County… A dance studio has reportedly unexpectedly shutdown, and a bunch of little girls with expensive recital outfits are left without a show.

Their parents are trying to find a way to give them their big moment, anyway. As a former ballet mom, I know kids take these recitals seriously, but it was always the moms who seemed to take them much more seriously than their daughters.

I stopped taking my daughter when I had to spend $100 on recital costumes and do her hair and make-upĀ  when she was three years old. Are dance moms taking the fun out of ballet lessons?

Holy Crap…..Can everyone just please stop!!! You got your recital and your costumes that you ordered are coming in i dont care if you believe it or not i have proof some of them are in my garage waiting to be sent out. What is your deal????? If my mom had intentionally taken your money why would she have bothered making tickets, recital programs or even paying to SCCC to have the recital??? Hmmmm idk??? This is a bunch of bull. Who was at the studio 7 days a week rain or shine???. My mom was nothing but nice to you and your children she never once was mean. So if she really was a “con artist” why would she have even bothered to listen to you complain or make suggestions or even be nice to you? and people have the nerve to say stuff about me??? Really?? When teachers couldnt come in last minute who subbed classes? and iI never once got a thank you from some of you parents I did it because i loved the studio with all of my heart. If i didnt i wouldnt have cared so much, and you cant tell me that my mom and I did nothing. I sacraficed a lot to keep that studio going. You dont know how much it kills me to dance at another studio…all you people think about is just yourself. What do you think your putting me through day after day??? my mom and I worked our butts off at the studio….and I guess you just dont see that huh??? You need to take a deep breath step back and look at the whole situation from begining to end…not end to begining. Tell me what you see/think then.

Teighlor, it is sad that you have to dance somewhere else, but so do we. Your mother was asked if she was closing and lied, continued to take money and that is not nice, it hurt us all. But you are not to blame, and we don’t blame you, but you always talked about Kristy, and all of the other stuff going on to us so of course we went home and told our parents. We don’t blame you, but it is not fair for you to blame us, that is just wrong. We didn’t ask for this to happen and we were always there too so this is what I think. I have thought about it and I think you should really think about the facts and not the lies. Your mom went bankrupt, or whatever, so deal w/ it, but if you want everyone to stop blaming you, then take your own advice and stop blaming our parents and us. We paid her studio, and for most of your stuff, so how can you think we are the bad guys here. Its just all really, really, to bad. And when your house burnt down we were all there for you. So why would you be so mean to us. Your mom took our money for a recital, then why didn’t she see it to the end? I think you feel guilty so your blaming us, but we forgive you.

I dont feel guilty at all. We had no idea the studio was gonna close. I have been fighting to keep it open for 3 years now. Everyones entitled to their own opinion and so am I. Also you DID NOT pay for my stuff at all. I dont know what kind of lies you are hearing but thats bull. That came out of my parents personal accounts. That couldnt have come out of the studio money because we needed everything to pay bills for the studio. So dont you dare say that you paid for my stuff because you DIDNT. Please dont try and tell me how I feel or how i should feel. I dont feel guilty at all. With All of the backstabbing and lies… and this is coming from me this has nothing to do with my mom, I dont feel guilty for blaming you at all! Like I tell everyone I dont need to say much more because Karmas a bitch and will come back and bite you in the ass sooner or later.

Oh and P.S the next 8 weeks with you guys would have been a completle living hell for me, and all the other dancers not involved it would have been tragic. Oh and my mom didnt go bankrupt we had the money to keep it going from family but i guess thats none of your buisness huh???

You say your mom used the money to pay the bills, then why did she tell our parents the IRS took over because she never paid them and never paid payroll taxes that was also in the newspaper. And why was the rent behind for so long there and the other place, and oh yeah, Karma is a bitch, and be ready b/c it will bite YOU in the ass!!! I have totally moved on…………you should try it!!!!!

Teighlor, we can’t possibly know what you and your family are going through. We only know what we are going through. The facts are the facts. If they weren’t factual, the IRS wouldn’t be involved, the Cottleville Police wouldn’t have told me that the rent for the last 10 months on the old studio had never been paid. The Police also wouldn’t have mentioned that she is liable for $2,000.00/month to satisfy this outstanding debt on the old studio. There would also not be a criminal investigation going on. I think most of us are beyond being angry anymore. We have shifted our focus on doing what’s best for our daughters. I’m thankful everyday that my daughter will move on and will become a stronger person because of all this. Unfortunately, you have to continue to live your life in the middle of this horrendous mess created by your mother. When we called SPAD about classes we were told your mother was not allowed to be seen in the lobby. How horrible for you to have to continue to dance in this community when your name will be forever tied to the mess created by your mother. I truly mean this. I can’t imagine my daughter having to live everyday of her life under such circumstances. It’s not about us being out hundreds of dollars. Can we afford it? No, but we live and learn and we are moving on. I sincerely hope you can learn to cope with the anger you must feel. It’s evident by the way your postings read that you harbor a tremendous amount of anger. Some day when you’re older you’ll realize who that anger needed to have been directed at. It’s not us. My daughter looked up to you as someone she wanted to be like some day. She loved it when you helped her because she felt that maybe you saw potential in her. You cut her off at the knees by completely ostracizing her and she never said an unkind word about you. This is probably what’s been most difficult for all of us. Like I said, it’s not about the money, it’s not about how we were misled, it’s about how the whole situation was handled and the subsequent mistreatment of our children. I wish you and your family the best.

Like everyone else, I was completely shocked to find out about the closing of Dance 4 Life. My daughter is not a competitive dancer, but has taken classes there for the past 2 years. Not one person has contacted us about future dance recitals and costumes. Are only the competitive dancers holding a summer recital? Any information you can provide on this is appreciated.

My immediate reaction was that I had been taken…invaded…like someone had broke into my house and stolen money from me. In essence, this is exactly what happened. The money that I had paid for future dance lessons, dance recital costume and dance recital tickets was stolen. I want my money back!!!!!!!!

Who is the lawyer representing Pam? Dubail Judge, the name left on the dance studio door, is not the attorney representing her. The Dubail Judge Law Offices state that not one person from their office is representing Pam S. Robinson. They are not even sure why their name has been connected to Pam. If you have any information on this, please share.

Our lawyers name is Rochelle Stanton…..and all you have to do is send a certified letter stating what you owe to Dance 4 Life’s address. In the letter include copies of tickets purchased, and a list of misc. items that you think you are owed. Refunds will take awhile but will be made if you are patient. Due to legal process all responses need to be in writing. Sorry for the inconvienince.

Thanks
Teighlor
