The most expensive Thanksgiving ever?

We just did some of our grocery shopping for our portion of the family Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve made some of the same holiday dishes for years now, and I hate to cede control of my favorites. But, this year, I’m taking a more Zen approach to the dinner. Mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and stuffing have been reassigned. And, I think I’m okay with it.
But, imagine my surprise when our grocery bill did not reflect my downgraded cooking responsibilities. Is it just me, or is this going to end up being the most expensive Thanksgiving dinner ever?

We host a Thanksgiving postluck with our friends. Everyone dresses up, we use our wedding china, and everyone brings a dish.
